Two of ISA’s unsung heroes: Nadine & Sunny 💛
A participant we care deeply about came to us at a difficult time. They had an important personal goal and wanted the chance to take the next step. Our team believed in them and worked alongside them to help make that opportunity possible.
In less than a week, our support worker Nadine raised over $1,300 through her own community to help remove a barrier standing in the participant’s way. Nadine, you saw what was needed and brought people together with such generosity and determination.
I’ve also watched our Team Leader Sunny lead this effort with care and purpose. She has worked closely with Nadine and the wider support team, kept everyone connected and helped work through the challenges along the way. Sunny, your leadership, collaboration and belief in this participant have been extraordinary.
For the next three months, ISA will pause our regular supports while this participant focuses on the goal they have chosen. Supporting someone’s journey sometimes means doing the hard work to help open a door, then giving them the space to walk through it.
The participant’s courage is at the heart of this story. Nadine and Sunny, thank you for the heart, leadership and teamwork you have poured into helping them reach this point. So much of the work that changes lives happens quietly, and I want you both to know that yours has been seen.
