Did you make a New Year's Resolution? Maybe this opportunity below will help you to follow through on it and widen your horizons!

A small group of presenters: Hélène Safajou, Clémence Overall, David Ramsey and Françoise Sauvère has been able in the past two years to diffuse a regular French program every Saturday from 12.00 to 2.00pm on Lismore's River FM 92.9, and they are in need of more volunteers to help with the program. David has been presenting since August 2023 (and learning French in the process) and he now needs to take a break.

This program was begun in the 1990's by AFCDN committee member, Robert Mazouin, continuing when Robert left the area, with Melissa Vesier at the mic in 2018 and 2019. Since April 2023 it has continued to be presented regularly with different participants.

We are looking for people who would be willing to join our team and present a program on a regular or occasional basis. Training on studio operations will be given, and some out-of-pocket expenses can be reimbursed. The studio is in Lismore, but there is training to help you to record programs ahead of time and send to the radio. The program must be in French to receive the funding. For insurance purposes you must be a current member of the Alliance Francaise Cote du Nord.

We are all amateurs but it is a lot of fun and we do learn a lot about French music and all things French.

Hello presenters, members and other vollies, as we are nearing the Fundraising event , I not only need everyone to ask who they know for art pieces sculptures etc for the art auction, we also need help with set up and a few vollies to help hang the exhibition on the Friday before (31st) I mainly need people to do whippersnipping outside as my machine just broke. please dm me Janelle Buckley
