Around 11.50pm, on Saturday 17 October, the Lismore based Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a person injured in a bulldozer rollover near Bonalbo, northwest of Lismore. A man in his 50s, had been injured several hours earlier and was found by relatives when he had not returned. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team for leg and arm fractures before being airlifted to Lismore Base Hospital.

Around 12pm, on Sunday 18 October, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from Bonalbo Hospital to Lismore Base Hospital. A man in his 60s, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Lismore.

A man in his 60s, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Cudgen.

The inaugural Pickering Automotive Group Rugby League Legends Charity Golf Day is set to be one of the region's most exciting charity events, bringing together rugby league legends, local businesses and community supporters for an unforgettable day of golf, networking and entertainment.

With prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, a huge raffle plus incredible live and silent auction items up for grabs, there's something for everyone. Most importantly, every swing helps support the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and Tweed Seagulls Community Programs, making this a day where great fun delivers an even greater impact.

Friday 9th October saw 88 enthusiastic ladies take to the fairways at Lismore Workers Golf Club for a day of fun, friendship and fundraising in support of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

The event was a fantastic success, bringing the community together while raising valuable funds for our vital local service. Fine weather greeted the early starters, making for ideal golfing conditions, before everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch together following the completion of play.

A woman in her 20s, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Southport.

A male in his 30's, who was suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff, the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Southport.

On Tuesday 22nd September the Ballina Ladies Golf Club held a fundraising day on behalf of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

Yvonne Whitty, President of the Ballina Ladies Golf Club and rescue helicopter volunteer, arranged the day where golfers were asked to donate items of golf and sportswear which were then sold via a silent auction.

A great day was held by all which saw a total of $1015 being fundraised from sales and donations...thank you!
