From Buzz to Action in PNG! 🐝🇵🇬

Hot on the heels of World Bee Day celebrations in Goroka, the energy is still buzzing! This week, we took a big step toward strengthening beekeeping in Papua New Guinea.
Nilesh Kumar from Fiji 🇫🇯 led an inspiring Train-the-Trainer workshop, empowering a passionate group of young beekeepers with the skills to deliver high quality, practical, outcomes-based beekeeping training 💪🏾

Here’s to the next generation of beekeeping leaders—right across the Pacific.

🐝 Beekeeping isn’t easy—quality training makes all the difference! Research with the Fiji Beekeepers Association found several ways to improve the quality of beekeeping training: ⬇️⬇️⬇️

✅ Practical, hands-on lessons produce better outcomes than classroom-only approaches.
✅ Certified training boosts skills and creates opportunities for financial support.
✅ Tailored training helps new and advanced beekeepers thrive in the hive.
✅ Peer to peer feedback strengthens trainer's skills and knowledge in delivering effective training.

Let’s empower beekeepers everywhere with the skills and knowledge to thrive in their hives! 🐝

Six queens bees came together for Day 1 of our training of trainers value-added bee product workshops in Goroka, Papua New Guinea. Under the instruction of Karen Mills from Fiji we learnt how to process beeswax, make a variety of different candles and most importantly had a bunch of fun.
