A big thankyou to everyone who came to celebrate our Christmas in July lunch at the Lipson Supper Hall on Sunday afternoon.
The event was supported by our local community, with homemade soups, freshly roasted Tumby Bay lamb, ham and chicken and beautiful pudding, fresh fruit salad and pavlova nests were offered for dessert. Our younger guests were offered Frog in a Pond for dessert and then they got to choose some presents that Santa had left just for them.
The sound of crackers being pulled filled the air as well as clinking glasses filled with the beautiful Zero Alcohol McGuigan's Sparkling wine.
Congratulations to our raffle prize winners as well as the lucky door and lucky chair winners. Thank you to the businesses, including Curtis's and the Seabreeze Hotel, who generously donated.
After lunch, guests could stay and listen to Ross Hudson gave a talk about the building of the Eyre Highway or join the Love to Dance group in the Hall next door for dancing to burn off their lunch.
Thank you again to all who attended and thanks to our amazing Committee for all the behind-the-scenes work.
