“The most important application of permaculture ethics
and principles is to the self, through a process of self audit of our needs, wants, dependencies, creative and productive outputs and byproducts of our very existence. Getting grounded in this way is the start of a

personal retro-fit or redesign process which does require that we wait until we own land or are with the right crowd.”
- David Holmgren

And so begins my conscious self audit and continued transition away from the mindless growth economy...I believe there is a great place of balance if we design our lives more strategically and become conscious of what the traditional system manipulates us to do and think.

Our Stories, Choosing Life

A gift for my two boys and for all the Sebastian and Jasper’s out there who deserve to live a nourished, happy and fruitful life.

For so long I thought that what was good for me was good for the planet. I relentlessly pursued high ambitions in all areas of my life - caring for my two boys as a sole parent (TWICE!), making a tree change to the beautiful Blue Mountains, renovating, building a business, being the breadwinner, maintaining optimum fitness, cooking organic food from scratch. I thought I had it all together but it was only a matter of time before I burnt out.

With divine timing, it all led me to realising that I didn’t have to have it all perfect and together all the time - and going after more than I needed was actually preventing me from appreciating and making the most of what I already had. Ultimately, life is all about being connected to other people. My happy place was in the garden and sharing food with people I love - my grandparents had it right living La dOlce Vita (the sweet life). Suddenly I realised, that what was good for the planet was good for us. And so began a way more aligned journey.

I figure if a corporate party girl who worked in credit cards could make the huge transition to a way more purposeful and happy life, anyone can!
