The Shire of Leonora can be found 230km North of Kalgoorlie and lies within the Goldfields. There is a strong tourist trade with prospectors and sight seers making their way to Leonora to try their hand a little Gold digging. Leonora holds the annual Golden Gift which brings an additional 2000 tourists and visitors into town. The Shire of Leonora has a vibrant and expansive population. A variety o

f social clubs and services enable the residents of Leonora to live a rich and varied lifestyle, The CRC fits into this community by supplying services to the town that are not so easily available in such a remote area.

This is a great opportunity to support our students while they practise their new skills and you’ll get your nails done too! 💕💅

🕯️✨ Candle Making Workshop ✨🕯️
Last Saturday, despite the rainy weather, it was wonderful to see our community come together for the CRC Candle Making Workshop.

The afternoon was filled with creativity, laughter and great conversations as everyone created their own beautiful candles and enjoyed trying something new. It was lovely to see so many people come along and make the most of the afternoon together. 💛

Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported this workshop. We loved seeing everyone’s unique creations and sharing a fun community afternoon with you all.

We look forward to bringing more creative activities to Leonora soon 😊

A very special thank you to Fiona and Kate from Anglicare for travelling from afar to come to Leonora and deliver our CRC Messy Play session. We truly appreciate the time, effort and dedication you put into bringing this experience to our community and creating such a fun and engaging activity for everyone involved. 💛
A big thank you also to the students from Leonora District High School who joined us for our CRC Messy Play session!
It was wonderful to give the students the opportunity to come along, get involved and experience what our Messy Play program is all about. There were plenty of smiles, creativity, hands-on activities and, of course, lots of mess! 🎨🖍️✨

A big thank you to everyone who attended our Lash & Brow Course at the Leonora Community Resource Centre! 💕

It was fantastic to see our participants getting involved, learning new skills and gaining hands-on experience throughout the course.

A special thank you to our amazing trainer, Jodie Burwood, for sharing her knowledge, skills and passion with our community. Jodie is incredibly talented and professional at what she does, and we truly appreciate the time and effort she puts into delivering such a valuable learning experience. 🌸

We would also like to thank the Leonora District High School students who joined us today to observe the course and be part of the theory session this morning. It was wonderful to have you involved and give you the opportunity to experience what this industry is about, learn about the skills involved, and explore future opportunities.

A special thank you to the teachers and Principal of Leonora District High School for allowing the students to be part of this experience and supporting opportunities that help young people learn, explore and discover different pathways. Our FREE Supported Play Sessions are back in Leonora, offering a fun and welcoming space where babies, toddlers and preschoolers can learn through play alongside their parent or caregiver.
Each session includes:
🎨 Messy play
🧩 Fine motor activities
📚 Language and literacy
🎶 Music and movement
These sessions are a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child, meet other local families, and support your little one's learning and development in a relaxed environment.
