📍 WELCOME TO GRIFFITH!

Well… we made it to Griffith and apparently we’re about to discover that this rally is a whole lot more than just a drive! 🤣

There’ll be no “hey, let’s just follow the red car in front of us” happening here.

We’re talking actual navigating from a guide book, with instructions from our navigator telling the driver to turn at the EXACT right kilometre. No pressure whatsoever. 😳🤣

It’s not a race, but it’s definitely going to be a test of our skills to get from Point A to Point B each day using a few different tactics along the way.

Ummm… where was all THIS information in the welcome letter?! 🤣🤣

We met some of the other teams last night and what a bunch! One thing already stands out — there are some big hearts amongst this crew. Lots of laughs too.

Today we officially come together and then the real adventure begins 🚙❤️

We’ve hit NSW but on our way we stopped in at Melbourne Campers & Caravans in Pakenham to hand deliver their Certificate of Appreciation and say a huge thank you in person to Mish and Kel for their incredibly generous donation to Team Ella. ❤️

These ladies were busy, but still stopped what they were doing to make us a coffee, have a chat and pose for a photo with us.

Mish and Kel are just so darn nice. Their generosity and support makes me wish there was something I could do in return to show them just how much it means to us.

They believe in our journey, they believe in what we’re trying to achieve, and they’ve backed Team Ella in such a big way. We are so incredibly grateful.

So if you’re considering buying a caravan, please head down and see the team at Melbourne Campers & Caravans. I can pretty much guarantee you’ll feel straight away just how genuine these ladies are from the welcome they give you.

Recently, Tackle World store owners from all across Australia got together for their annual conference.

Now, I don’t actually know how this part works 😂 but apparently throughout the conference they fine each other for different things, and by the end of it they’ve collected a pretty impressive amount of money which they then donate to a chosen cause.

This year, they heard about Team Ella, our rally and our mission to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis — and they chose us. 🥹❤️

We are incredibly grateful to every single person involved. To have a group of people from Tackle World stores right across Australia hear Ella’s story and decide that our cause was one they wanted to support means so much to us.

A huge thank you to Tom from Alpine Country & Outdoors for putting Team Ella forward, and to everyone at the Tackle World conference who got fined 😂, paid their fines and helped turn a bit of conference fun into something that will make a genuine difference.

I accidentally deleted my original post about how amazing this kid is, so he absolutely deserves another one ❤️

Ella’s cousin saved $250 of his own pocket money because he is so desperate to help Ella and help find a cure for cystic fibrosis.

$250!!! That is a HUGE amount of pocket money for a kid to save. 🥹

His mum and dad had previously told him they would match him dollar for dollar, turning his incredible $250 into a $500 donation to Team Ella. Big mistake to underestimate the power of an amazing kid.

There was absolutely no way we could drive through Melbourne today without stopping in to see him and give him his very own Certificate of Appreciation.

We are so incredibly proud of you. The fact that you wanted to give up your own money to help Ella means more to us than you’ll ever know.

Thank you for helping us rally for a cure for Ella and every other person living with CF. ❤️

Money quest jumped on board as our major sponsor, and as grateful as we were for the financial backing, along with that has come so much support.
Today Lachlan, Juvi, Kristine and Rose came over to Leongatha to wish us well on our journey and see how Ella was feeling about it all. How kind is that. Matt was unable to come but the team assure me he’ll be following along and checking in on us. Thanks so much for the support.

I’ve mentioned the beautiful little Elsie on here before, but today her and her mum dropped off a HUGE hamper for us to take on the road. Snacks galore — lollies, fruit, muesli bars, muffins, Chewy, chips… you name it, it was in there! ❤️

Yes, I’m doing this for Ella, but I’m also doing it for all kids living with CF. I love this card so much. Thank you, Elsie. ❤️

And while I’m talking about this gorgeous girl, Elsie’s family must be SO proud of her. She has just done 10 weeks of physio every single day without missing one day. That’s a massive effort for a 5-year-old!

Her lung function has improved and she hasn’t needed antibiotics for at least 6 weeks. Absolutely amazing, especially through winter.

Amazing effort, Elsie. You little superstar ⭐️

A few weeks back I was at the local footy and got to meet Justin, who owns Fleet Wines.

Justin and I chatted for a while — not only about the rally, but about the impacts of CF that outsiders don’t always see. The day-to-day stuff and what it’s actually like for a family living with it. He understood the emotional challenges too. And yep… Justin has a mate with CF 🌹Thank you for understanding.

Justin asked me to give him a call during the week, which I did, and he very generously offered us w**e to auction while we’re away on the rally AND assistance with our fuel costs.

We thankfully declined his fuel offer, but very appreciatively accepted his incredibly generous donation of over $600 worth of w**e for us to auction while we’re away on the rally. And when I picked it up, he’d even thrown in a few bottles for Rell, Trace and me to enjoy while we’re away. Hmmmm… does he already know us? 🤔🍷😂

Thank you so much to Justin and Lisa from Fleet Wines, located right here in Leongatha. Your generosity and support for Team Ella means a lot to us. ❤️
