A little recap for all our new followers. ❤️

Team Ella consists of myself Michelle (Ella’s mum) and two of my long-term friends, Tracy and Narelle. Ella is 8 and lives with CF. Plus hubby Shane doing the mechanic work before we leave.

Together, we’ve been plugging away at fundraising for Cure4CF, raising vital funds for research.

In September, we’ll be taking part in The Great Escape OZ Rally under the name Team Ella.

Along the way we’ve been incredibly fortunate to gain some amazing sponsors and receive donations from many generous people and businesses.

Sunday June 21st we’ll be at the Leongatha Rail Trail Market with:

🚗 A $200 Fuel Voucher Raffle
🔥 Half Tonne of Firewood Raffle
🎬 Movie Night Hamper for 4 Raffle
🧸 Kids Toy Hamper Raffles
🍬 Guess the Lolly Count
✏️ Fun activity sheets for the kids and more

We also have our Paint Ya Mate night coming up in July, where fun is definitely the main priority! The night will include a door prize and a couple of other prizes during the night including an award for the most memorable masterpiece.

Then in September, the real adventure begins as we hit the road for the rally. I’ll be sharing regular updates of our fundraising efforts, rally preparations, and all the fun and challenges we encounter along the way.

The goal is simple: a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

It’s one of the very few reasons I’d willingly leave my girl for so long, but if it helps raise awareness and funds for research that could change lives, then it’s worth every kilometre. ❤️

🧦 Novelty Socks – $5 a Pair 🧦

The last thing we’ll have on offer at the Rail Trail Market is our novelty socks!

Ella and I spent an afternoon packaging these up months ago, ready for fundraising, and now they’re finally making their market debut. There are plenty of fun designs to choose from, with something for both kids and adults.

At just $5 a pair, they’re a great way to support our fundraising efforts for Cystic Fibrosis while taking home something practical and fun.

We’ll have them available alongside our raffles and guessing game, so be sure to stop by and say hello!

After getting scammed and paying for a bull bar that never existed (thanks to a fake account pretending to be a legitimate wreckers), I wasn’t planning on buying another one. Those things are pricey.

But thanks to Shane, Dorothy now has a bull bar fitted and ready for the rally. 💙

He spent part of his day off fitting it for me. Just what a mechanic wants to do on a day off. Yet another example of the behind-the-scenes support that helps make Team Ella possible.🚙

In case there is any concern all car costs come out of my pocket not fundraising money.

❤️ Here’s a young man who likely doesn’t need praise but absolutely deserves it.

Oliver attends Ella’s school. On the morning of our Wear Red for CF Day, he told his parents he wanted to donate the money from his “give jar” to the fundraiser. I’m told he gave $20. That’s a huge amount for a young person and such an incredibly thoughtful thing to do.

Ella and I went to his house tonight to thank him personally and give him some goodies to let him know how much we appreciated his kindness.

While I was chatting with his parents, Oliver shared his goodies with his two brothers and with Ella. That simple gesture says so much about the kind of person he is.

This kid is just beautiful and kind. Don’t ever stop being you, Ollie. The world needs more people like you.

And Ollie is a credit to his parents, who are both incredibly kind and have clearly raised a young man with a very generous heart. ❤️ (can’t tag Jamie Quarrier)
