President Report 2024/25

Good evening everyone and welcome to the AGM for the 2025/26 year.

This year has been a great step forward in the development of the PRFMA with the help of the current members and management team.
We have had great development in our relationships with Borumba, Logan, and Albert stocking groups with get togethers for the Saratoga competition, which unfortunately we lost by the smallest of margins.
(Maybe next year Dustan can catch the fish on Saturday and not Sunday).
I’m happy to say that as we move forward to building the association to a higher level, our aim is to host the 2026 Workshop with Qld Fisheries with Borumba, Logan, & Albert to show a new spirit of cooperation which was something that the DPI has tried to achieve for some years.
I feel that we can learn a lot from each other with different ideas shared amongst the groups.

This year in North Pine Dam we stocked 80000 bass from Hanwood, 40000 Yellow belly from Greenacres and in Lake Kurwongba 40000 bass from Bass, Barra & Barcoo . Thanks to Glenn & Ross who helped add another 17 Saratoga from our last effort with Borumba Stocking Group. As always their spirit in this is greatly appreciated.

This year coming, and into the future years, will see some challenges with our water levels but we will keep working to achieve success and not let this faze us.

I would like finally to say thank you to everyone for placing their trust in me and the management team for the interests of the PRFMA and I look forward to working together with you all in the coming years.

Cheers Dean
