πŸ’› COMMUNITY DAY IN LAVERTON πŸ’›

A great day of support and community in Laverton!

Bega Garnbirringu joined us with soup and wreath-making activities, creating a relaxed space to open up conversations around grief, loss and healing. Bega also has counsellors available to support community, so if you see their team around, have a yarn and find out what support is available.

As part of our ongoing community clean-up initiative, we also welcomed the Laverton Sports Club, who helped community with Containers for Change registrations. LSC is volunteer-based, so a big thank you to the ladies who gave their time to come along and hold a stall for community.

We were also able to share some very generous donations. Following the items brought up by Perth College during NAIDOC Week, we received further donations from Angela Sinclair and the Bunbury Ladies Group. These items will now be handed over to the Waalitj Foundation, giving community the opportunity to go through and make use of what they need.

We also thank our host location Laverton Cross Cultural Association. Thank you to everyone who contributed, volunteered and came along. Days like this are about bringing services, organisations and community together in a practical and supportive way.

We look forward to continuing these collaborations and creating more opportunities for community. πŸ’›
