Rotary was founded on February 23, 1905, when attorney Paul P. Harris convened the first meeting of four professionals in downtown Chicago. The name originated from the group's early practice of rotating weekly meetings among members' offices. Today, it is a global service organization with over 1.4 million members.

We meet at Laurieton United Services Club on Mondays at 6pm for 6.30pm, come along and find out about the difference Rotary makes..

Winter means the heater, a hot drink and a great book! Our book sale coordinator Phillip Town and his helpers have been busy sorting books for our mid year sale next month. But we can always fit in more!

All funds raised assist Rotary's community projects.

The weather is cooling down and our winter appeal is in full swing! These are the items we are most in need of. Any donation big or small can make a big difference.

If you are able to help us continue to provide these necessities please consider donating some products, which can be dropped at Kew Corner Store.

Alternatively, if you would like to leave a monetary donation head to https://communityat3.org.au/donate/ and make sure to put ‘winter appeal’ as a reference.

Rach Thorpe

I grew up in Auckland, New Zealand and in 1989 I was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Howick as an exchange student to the United States, where I was hosted by Norman Rotary in Oklahoma and attended Norman High School. It was a life changing experience, and was my first encounter with Rotary.

My husband and I joined the Laurieton Club last year after relocating to Dunbogan from Canberra. We were looking for a social activity that also provided benefits to the community and Rotary ticked those boxes. Everyone in the club has been extremely welcoming.

I'm also on the executive committee of Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce which aligns well with my advocacy around accessibility and inclusion. My hobbies include genetic genealogy, reading and writing for Camden Haven News Of The Area.
