More Than Just a Coffee – A Legacy of Giving Since 1933 🏥💙
Did you know that when you visit the LGH Central Auxiliary Kiosk on Level 3, you are helping us save lives?
Founded in 1933 by a dedicated group of women from the St. John Ambulance Branch, our mission has remained the same for over 90 years: to support our hospital, our patients, and our visitors.
How your support makes a difference:
* 100% Volunteer Run: We are powered by a team of 50 active volunteers who give their time every weekday.
* Millions Raised: Between 1933 and 2024, we have given back over $5,099,000 to the Launceston General Hospital.
* Vital Equipment: Your purchases have funded life-saving items like Heart Monitors, Defibrillators, Humidicribs, Kidney Machines, and Stroke Unit equipment.
We are so proud of our history, including members like Mrs. Margaret Moore and Mrs. Lyn Rigby, who have served for over 40 years—with the Moore family now entering their 6th generation of volunteering!
