Have you always wanted to be in a band, but have never had the equipment to do it? Have you never had the support? Or just generally didn't know where to start? Do the boys somehow STILL expect you to sit on the couch and swoon over them during practice, neglecting to include you? Sadly, this is the story for most women within music, particularly when starting out. But it doesn't have to be. Music
(the sound) does not discriminate, and it's time to join the revolution. This is an organisation to welcome any and all ages of women, varying musical experience and taste. Let's put it this way:
You always wanted a drum kit, but your parents wouldn't put up with the noise? Always wanted to see just how loud you could make your guitar go but never had an amplifier to use? Maybe you don't give a f**k about playing music as such, but you wanted to do the mixing at live shows or record your friends band but just didn't know how? Maybe you even play the Clarinet, or a Violin, or the only experience you've ever had with percussion was hitting a Glockenspiel on your knee in grade 4. Whatever you can do, whatever you want to do, there's a place for you here. We want to provide any women that want to play in bands a place to practice, with the equipment to make yourselves LOUD. If you don't know how to use it, we'll help. Don't have anyone to play with? We'll find you people. Why not give it a go? We want to create a totally calm and positive environment for you to work on creating your sound, while also forming a supportive community that'll come to your gigs. We want it to be fun.
