🌿 A little change in leadership this week 🌿

With Sarah enjoying some well-deserved time away, we're excited to welcome Nadine as our Acting Centre Leader for the week. Nadine primarily supports the George Town CFLC but has been part of our team on Tuesdays for a little while. She will be here welcoming families, supporting the team and keeping things running.

We're looking forward to a fun week together at the centre and we hope you'll join us in giving Nadine a warm welcome 🌼

What an incredible Book Week we had! 📚✨
This year we decided to continue our tradition and do something fun and different each day to celebrate our love of books, storytelling and imagination.
Monday – Pyjama Day with hot chocolates and stories in our Book Nook 💤📖
Tuesday – Book Week Costume Day with a walk through our community handing our bookmarks the children made followed by a picnic outside 🎭📚
Wednesday – Crazy Hair & Crazy Socks Day 🌈🧦
Thursday – The Very Hungry Caterpillar costume and excursion to Ravenswood Heights Primary School to join in their Book Week parade followed by Launching into Learning 🐛🍎
We finished our Book Week celebrations with Wear it Purple Day on Friday. It was a lovely way to end such a colourful week.
A huge thank you to our wonderful staff and families for getting involved and helping to make Book Week so special. We loved seeing the children's excitement, creativity and genuine love of stories throughout the week.
From dressing up and creative activities to shared stories, imaginative play and connecting with our wider community, it truly was a fun-filled week of celebrating the magic of books and storytelling! 📚💜✨

It can be hard not to try and fix big feelings like anger and sadness, but the best thing to do is teach little ones that all feelings are welcome🧠

Stay with them, name what the feeling is, and let them know it's ok🙂😔😡

Today is Early Childhood Educators Day and we want to recognise someone whose work goes far beyond what is seen on the surface. The thought, knowledge, intention and genuine care that you bring to everything you do is truly amazing. You have a beautiful ability to notice the little things, listen deeply and turn everyday moments into meaningful opportunities for learning and growth. Thank you for the thought you put into your work, the knowledge you generously share, and the heart you bring to the families, children and staff you connect with.
We see it. We value it. And we are so grateful for you.

🐑 A very special little visitor came to the centre recently! 🤍

The children were so excited to meet our fluffy friend and had the sweetest time watching, talking to and gently interacting with the lamb.

There’s something pretty magical about little moments like these — connecting with animals, asking questions, building confidence and learning through hands-on experiences. 🌿🐑

A visit we certainly won’t forget! ✨

The warm sun will come up tomorrow and pop .... the Ravenswood CFLC Group Book Week costume will be ready to be paraded at the Ravenswood Heights Primary School! For those who sent an RSVP please be at the centre at 8.45 if you can and wear black. After the parade we will visit Kara in the LiL room and share morning teas. There will be no Toddler Time.
