🚨 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TOMORROW🚨

On Monday 15 June at 11:00am, there will be an AusAlert (emergency alert) test in our area.

📱 You may receive a notification on your phone, tablet, or smart watch.

This alert will:
• Vibrate
• Play a loud siren-like sound for about 10 seconds
• Display a message confirming it is a test

✅ You do not need to do anything.

For community members using a safe phone:
• Please ensure you are in a safe place when the alert sounds, or
• Turn your device off or use aeroplane mode if this alert could place you at risk

Today we can celebrate the International Day of Play. We are the biggest champions of children's right to play. It is essential for healthy development, emotional resilience, and lifelong learning.

Did we celebrate? Nope! We just did what we do every day here at the Ravenswood CFLC. Our toddlers have much to teach us about play, sharing, taking turns, growth and development. Enjoy watching us do what we do best...play. 😊

What a busy playgroup it was today. We were so excited to start our new rocket, we used our shop boxes to make box work creations, played with loose parts in the clay and made styrofoam sculptures. Thanks for joining us.

Please read the below information about the Australian Government testing AusAlert on the 15th June 2026.

The Australian Government is introducing a new emergency warning system later this year called AusAlert.

AusAlert uses the latest technology to send emergency messages to compatible mobile devices during local and national disasters.

These messages aim to keep communities informed so they can take action, saving lives and property.

In the lead up to AusAlert being used, there will be some testing of the system during June and July.

A regional test is happening in the Launceston area on 15 June, followed by a national test on 27 July.

It may have been wet outside, but we still enjoyed our time together at Let's Talk and Play. We started our new rhyme 'Twinkle Twinkle' ⭐️. We enjoyed making Starry Night paintings, playing in the galaxy themed sensory tray and undertook some very important astronaut training moving moon rocks.
