💚 SUPPORTING CHELSEA TUCK 💚

At New Horizons Tasmania, we're all about celebrating and supporting the sporting achievements of people living with disability, and we'd love to shine a light on an incredible Tasmanian athlete.

Chelsea Tuck is a 5-time Australian National Champion in Para BMX Racing and has proudly qualified to represent Australia at the 2026 BMX World Championships.

Chelsea lives with Tuberous Sclerosis and also has a moderate intellectual impairment, autism and epilepsy, but has found her passion and purpose through BMX. Through hard work, determination and countless hours of training, she's earned the opportunity to compete on the world stage wearing the green and gold.

As you can imagine, representing Australia comes with significant costs, and Chelsea and her family are currently fundraising to help make this dream a reality.

What a week for our Disabilities Tenpin Team at the National Championships in Alexandra Headland! 🎳

This opportunity wouldn't have been possible without the support of the CommBank Staff Foundation Community Grant, which helped our athletes travel, compete, connect with others from across Australia, and proudly represent Tasmania on the national stage.

Beyond the scores and results, the championships provided valuable opportunities to build confidence, develop skills, strengthen friendships, and create lifelong memories.

A sincere thank you to the staff at CommBank who contribute through Workplace Giving. Your generosity helps create meaningful opportunities for people with disability to participate, achieve, and thrive through sport.

Congratulations to all of our bowlers for their outstanding efforts and the way they represented New Horizons Tasmania throughout the week.

Our crew have been loving their time bowling for the state. When they’re not on the lanes, they’ve been making the most of the trip with beach walks, a few dance breaks, poolside hangs, plenty of laughs, and a well-earned ice cream or two🍦😎
