Clifford Craig Health Foundation The Clifford Craig Health Foundation was established in 1992 by the local community with the founding vision to improve health outcomes for the region.

Based at Launceston General Hospital, the foundation has since developed into a vibrant organisation, which plays a vital role in facilitating quality medical research into the health issues that affect the people within our community. Most importantly, our program is designed to fund medical research that will help attract researchers, higher degree students, and specialist doctors and physicians

to work in our region. Since its inception, the Clifford Craig Foundation has built a quality research centre at the LGH and has committed to provide in excess of $4 million in funding for over 100 worthwhile medical research projects. Our dedicated research team have established a reputation for relevant, practical and innovative research which has truly improved medical understanding and better treatments for many serious illnesses,

We have demonstrated that we can make significant contributions to medical knowledge and with continued community support we can do much more.

🙋 CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Our second ever LGH Giving Day will be on Wed, 23 September. Last year's effort raised close to $80,000 for patient care projects at the hospital. The takila nayri Healing Room on the Maternity Ward is already under construction - that's the power of community fundraising!

We need help to cover 2-hour volunteer shifts on the day across our donation stations and the telethon. If you can help, please email [email protected] or register here:

After visiting last night to share how the Clifford Craig Health Foundation is helping to ensure all North West Coasters receive the best possible healthcare, it’s clear to see why this club is gaining momentum.

It was a pleasure to join Acting President Ross and the crew from the Rotary Club of Ulverstone West to hear from researcher Dr Giuliana Murfett, who is currently leading Phase 2 of the Diabetes Guidance through Inpatient Triage Project – or DIGIT-D – which is supported by the Clifford Craig Health Foundation

Dr Murfett shared with attendees the changing landscape of diabetes in Australia, the particular challenges faced by rural and regional communities and how research, innovation and projects like DIGIT-D are helping make a difference in communities such as ours here on the North West.

The Foundation is delighted to be supporting this vital work as it strives to improve health outcomes and healthcare services for people across the region.
