Field Trip to Milton 26'

Thankyou to the TLMA, LCNT, BDGC & LCT, With Jarrin Page from LCNT as field trip leader for making this a very successful day! With around 45 in attendance, the weather certainly held up for us with an absolutely beautiful sunny day!

A huge thankyou to Milton Estate for hosting us yet again!

Petrified Wood and Agates being the mineral of the day, with many finding some extremely nice pieces to take home!

Thankyou to all who came and joined in the fun! With out you all we wouldn't be able to make trips like these possible!

After a great Gem & Mineral Show in the south last weekend... It's time THIS WEEKEND for the north to reply... With the Annual Jewellery, Gem & Mineral Fair. East Devonport , hosted by the Devonport Lapidary Club... It's a brilliant Fair, with all your favourite traders. See you there !!!

Road trip this weekend !!! Supporting our friends from the South with their annual Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show at the Elwick Racecourse... All your favourite traders will be there! Rocks, minerals, fossils, opals, gold, gemstones, jewellery, carvings, spheres & towers, just to name a few! Opens at 12pm on Saturday & 9am Sunday - big shout out to John McLeod and the Lapidary Club of Tasmania for organising such a stellar event !! See you there!!

Another successful excursion!

Today the Lapidary Club of Northern Tasmania were invited down to Local man, Gregs private property just outside Launceston to extract some exposed petrified wood!

With a great turn out, everyone had the opportunity to take part in the extraction or simply be there to witness!

It was a great day out with a BBQ lunch and many chats to follow!

MANY MANY thanks to Greg and his family for giving us this great opportunity and for the donation of this Petrified Wood to the club!

Happy New Year to all our members and friends of the club. 2026 will be bringing exciting news for the club, our field trips resume in a couple of weeks with the reopening of the club rooms TBA. Planning for the 2026 Launceston Gem And Mineral Show is well underway with great news to be announced soon. Stay safe & looking forward to seeing you all in 2026!!
