There are plenty of cycling events.

Sally's Ride is something different.

It's the conversations at the refreshment stop.

The volunteers cheering complete strangers.

The families riding together.

The finish line celebrations.

The shared belief that together we can continue supporting better mental health.

That's what keeps riders coming back year after year.

This isn't just about the kilometres you ride.

It's about the people you ride beside.

Mental health isn't just something we think about one day each year.

It's something we can support every day.

Sometimes making a difference can be as simple as:

💙 Going for a ride together.
💙 Asking someone how they're really doing.
💙 Catching up over a coffee.
💙 Listening without judgement.
💙 Reaching out when someone comes to mind.

These small actions can have a lasting impact.

Who could you check in with this week?

Every event has a story.

Sally's Ride began with a simple goal:
Bring people together.
Start conversations.
Support mental health.

Over the years the ride has grown beyond anything we could have imagined.

More riders.
More volunteers.
More supporters.
More conversations.

While plenty has changed, one thing never has.

The reason we ride.

Thank you to every rider, volunteer, sponsor and supporter who's helped shape this journey.

We're excited to continue writing the next chapter together.

Think you need to ride 100 kilometres every weekend to be ready?

Think again.

Preparing for Sally's Ride is all about consistency, not perfection.

Here are a few simple tips to get started:

🚲 Ride two or three times each week.
🚲 Build your longest ride gradually.

Remember, every ride you complete between now and November is one step closer to the start line.

Whether you're riding 10km or taking on one of the longer distances, you've got plenty of time to prepare.

Save this post so you can come back to it during your training.
