Join us for an inspiring Professional Development Evening, hosted by the Northern Young Professionals Network, where we bring together a range of special guests to share insights into their roles, organisational goals, and how they contribute to our region’s growth and wellbeing. Each month we spotlight individuals, or local and national organisation who make a meaningful impact within the community and their industry.

This month, we are pleased to welcome Emma Peachey as our featured guest.

Representing Relationships Australia, Emma will lead a discussion focused on Financial Awareness. During this session, we will explore practical budgeting tips, how money makes us feel, how we navigate finances within our relationships, and develop a greater understanding of tax and superannuation. Please note that this session does not include financial advice.

We will also take the opportunity to learn more about Emma’s professional journey.
Who now facilitates free psycho-educational group sessions across North and Northwest Tasmania on a variety of topics.

Nominations are now open for the NYPN Excellence Awards 2026.

Know a young professional making an impact across Northern Tasmania? This is your chance to recognise them.

Nominations are open across four categories:

Young Corporate of the Year
Young Creative of the Year
Young Service Talent of the Year
Young Community Leader of the Year

Nominations close 30 September 2026, with winners announced at the NYPN Awards Dinner on 16 October.

The Northern Professionals Network does not just happen on its own. Behind every event, professional development session and networking opportunity is a dedicated group of volunteers who generously give their time to help make being a young professional in Launceston a little easier, more rewarding and, hopefully, a lot more fun.

We would love for you to join us at the NYPN Annual General Meeting as we reflect on the year that has been and look ahead to what is next for the network.

The AGM is your opportunity to hear more about NYPN, elect the incoming Board, share your ideas for the year ahead and have a say in the future direction of the organisation.

You may even be interested in becoming more involved yourself. Whether you are considering joining the Board, volunteering at future events or simply want to contribute a few suggestions, we would be pleased to have you there.

The formal business will commence at 5.30 pm and is expected to be wrapped up by approximately 6.00 pm, leaving plenty of time to mingle and connect with your fellow NYPN members.

Our discounted half-year membership is also now available, so this is the perfect opportunity to bring along a friend or colleague who may be interested in joining the NYPN community.

Unfortunately, due to factors beyond the speaker’s control, he is unable to present tonight. We have made the difficult decision to postpone the event as we couldn’t bring in a replacement at such short notice. We understand this may be as disappointing for you as it is for us.

We have not locked in a new date yet so stay tuned and hang tight! Some of us will be heading down to St John’s for a quick after work drink anyway, so if you can’t make tomorrow’s Third Friday Drinks at Nomy Bar, consider it a free networking opportunity.

We will update you with the event date and/or location details as soon as they have been confirmed. In the first instance we are not offering refunds (in line with our policy), but will transfer your purchase to the new event.

Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you tonight, or at the rescheduled event (or both!)

The bus is leaving Dan Murphys Carpark strictly at 10:00am.
