Today we received a special donation in memory of ~ Emmy Rose Whelan ~ 22nd October 2024

It is an honour and privilege to share Emmy’s name ~ a special box and sibling pack will be donated in her memory.
~ our thoughts are with the family today on her birthday.

Wave of Light 2026 ~ 7pm

Tomorrow night we honour and remember the little souls taken too soon.

At 7pm on the 15th of October light a candle and help raise awareness on pregnancy and infancy loss. Light a candle to honour a special baby, a special little soul that never got the chance to experience this world.

This 15th of October we are doing something extra special and hosting our Short Film event for Health Professionals ~ a film to help raise awareness, education and insight into how to supporting bereaved families. - thank you to everyone behind the scenes of this special film.

More boxes and clay kits making their way to the NICU at the RHH this week

The last two years an incredible group of midwives from the North West Regional Hospital have organised 2 amazing events ~
Running Beyond The Rainbow

Over these two years and thanks to the support from local businesses and community members who purchased raffle tickets ~ they have raised in total $29,310!!!

The funds ~ divided equally between our 4 special packs is enough to support 130 families & 172 siblings!

A huge amount that will support so many bereaved across our entire state ~ Thank you to all the people behind this fundraising

Tickets to our special film release event ~ are still available to health professionals

The film has been developed to provide insight into the real-life experiences of people and families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss, alongside health professionals such as a GP, sonographer, midwife, psychologist and obstetrician.

The focus of such on how healthcare professionals and the wider community can provide more compassionate, individualised and meaningful care.

The project aims to:
· Improve the language used in healthcare when supporting people and families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss.
· Provide insight into real-life experiences from a patient and family perspective.
· Support more individualised and compassionate care by considering each person's circumstances, needs and preferences.
· Improve immediate and ongoing care by offering opportunities for memory-making and supporting meaningful keepsakes and mementos.
· Reduce discomfort around the topic of pregnancy and infant loss and encourage more open, compassionate conversations.
