✨This week at Baby Village...✨

We have Dr. Edna Giuntini from Breathe Chiropractic joining our playgroup. She will be sharing with us some information about developmental stages from newborn to school readiness, techniques for calming bubs and show us how to create a sensory rich environment to help young ones develop motor skills and a sense of wonder.

If you haven't attended our playgroup before, Baby Village is a free playgroup for caregivers of babies age 0-12 months or non-walkers. You can enjoy connecting with other caregivers over hot drinks, chats and spending time with your baby.

Tomorrow we will have some winter themed sensory activities. The babies will be able to explore using their sense of touch.

➕Thank you to Jason from First Up/First Aid for running a great First Aid Session for Baby Village last week and thank you to the families who attended. If you are a new family to Baby Village and haven't signed up for our free membership yet please head to our website to register.

➕Just a few little reminders from the session:
- Check your First Aid Kit for expiry dates for things like bandages and saline solution.
- Replace expired items and add items you might be missing. Email Jason for items that you would like to add to your kit. Also keep an eye out for their online store that will be on the website soon. (https://www.firstup.au/contactus)
- Think about purchasing a basic First Aid Kit for the car if you haven't already
- Download the apps mentioned (Emergency Plus, Australian Bites and Stings, GoodSAM)
- Don't Panic, Stay Calm!

Hi Baby Village Parents!
Our playgroup has the opportunity to help out a student from UTAS. Her name is Lucy and she is a midwife and masters of public health student at UTAS. She is doing a study about women's experiences of food access in pregnancy. If a few mums are interested, she would be able to come along to one of our sessions and interview 1 or 2 of you. There is no pressure to be involved but if you are interested, could you please send me a message on this page and let me know before next Thursday. This week is National Loneliness Awareness Week. We'd love to see you to celebrate with you at Baby Village! We're also excited that Sarah from the City of Launceston is hoping to pop in and say hello during the session.

Playgroups are a wonderful way to build connections, reduce isolation, and create a welcoming space where families can meet, share experiences, and feel part of their community.

🌺Welcome to Term 3 of Baby Village!🌺

If you haven't met me before, my name is Ashley, and I facilitate Baby Village playgroup in Invermay. I enjoy helping parents and caregivers discover and learn with their baby as well as connecting with other caregivers.

If you're a caregiver with a little one aged from birth to 12 months or not yet walking, I'd love to welcome you to our warm and friendly group where we’ll share stories, tips, and support in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Baby-friendly activities and sensory play
Feeding friendly spaces and baby change facilities
