This week we are looking forward to having a CHaPS nurse visit our playgroup. They will be able to share helpful information as well as answer questions you may have about starting solids, sleep or maybe developmental concerns. We will also have sensory toys, books, music and hot drinks available as usual.

This week during our session we will be exploring the idea of a Treasure Box. A Treasure Box or basket can be a great source of play and learning for your baby. You can use an empty shoebox or a basket and fill it with safe, everyday household or natural items for your baby to explore. Join us tomorrow to find out more!

Today at Baby Village we had a look at some ideas to make a Treasure Box or Basket for our babies to explore. Not only is it a great way to keep babies entertained but it's great for their development and learning. If you missed the session today or you're not sure where to start to make your own Box or Basket, here is a link to some ideas below. As with anything that we give our babies, make sure the items that you use are safe, with no sharp edges or small parts.

Treasure boxes are filled with everyday items and natural materials. Kids love discovering what’s inside! Treasure boxes are good for sparking play ideas.
