Well that wraps up another week 🙃

In the past few days we have provided for 16 Adults and 27 Children with breakfast, lunch and dinners to last at least four days personally delivered to their houses and a few came to the shed to collect.

We delivered to clients in Ravenswood, Invermay, Newnham, Georgetown, Norwood and Perth.

One unhoused client required some milk, sugar and gas canisters so these were provided to them.

We dropped off some towels and blankets to the Migrant Resource Centre as they were in need of these supplies.

Another was in need of a mobile phone so we purchased one for them and another couple of individuals needed to have their prescriptions filled which we paid for.

A family was in need of a booster car seat which we delivered to them.

Tomorrow's weather forecast is not great so we hope those sleeping rough are going to be ok.

Flood Advice - North Esk River - Monitor conditions

Tasmania SES has issued a Flood Advice - Monitor conditions for White Hill, Corra Linn, Relbia, Norwood, St Leonards, Newstead, Mowbray and surrounding low-lying areas

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a minor flood warning for the North Esk river.

Low-lying areas around White Hill, Corra Linn, Relbia, Norwood, St Leonards, Newstead, Mowbray are likely to be impacted.

During the next 48 hours:

* Flooding in nearby streams and rivers is likely.
* Some low-lying properties may become isolated by flood waters.
* Flood waters may threaten property, livestock, equipment, and crops.
* Driving conditions may be dangerous.

If you are in a low-lying area of White Hill, Corra Linn, Relbia, Norwood, St Leonards, Newstead, Mowbray and surrounding low-lying areas or near the North Esk river, SES advises

* If you have a flood emergency plan, check it now.
* Monitor conditions and prepare to go to a safer place if conditions become more dangerous.

We have our storage facility OPEN this morning 9am until 12pm at Launceston Storage Solutions 37 Birch Ave in Newstead Shed 25.

A friendly reminder to please not speed and to not park in the main driveway. If you can please park in front of the two large bins within the yellow lines thank you 😊

Food that is given if it can please be within date and not opened thank you 🙂

We are always in need of any of the following food items please:

Muesli bars (nut free for children's school lunches)

Good afternoon everyone 😊

We went and purchased gifts for the little ones birthday tomorrow 🤗 A boot load has been delivered along with some ballons someone was kindly giving away 🎂 We hope you have a lovely time celebrating your birthday!!

Mum was so happy as the cupboards were absolutely bare. It is stressful enough having to live with domestic violence and the aftermath of picking up the pieces, let alone not having any money to provide food on the table and gifts to celebrate your child's birthday.

We also purchased another boot load of food to help with continuing to feed the need here in the North and Northwest of Tasmania today.

A big thank you to everyone who donates with supporting our cause which you all help provide for many facing so many emergency situations.

Good evening everyone ☺️

Tonight we heated up meals of sausages, mashed potatoes with gravy and spaghetti Bolognaise kindly made by the amazing crew at the Launceston Catering company 😋 Thank you so much for your support 💜

Ones tonight said they were starving and it was the best meal they have had in awhile.

We food rescued from and the Bizy Bee 🐝 Thank you kindly for your continuous support 🙏

We ran out of food completely tonight 😪 we apologise for not having enough hot food left. We gave out energy food packs to make up so no one went without. Next week we will ensure to increase the numbers of meals we have on board.

It was a really busy night with newbies and many having no where to sleep 😴 They wish that there was a safe space for them to rest their heads.

A cold night ahead so many needing support, we handed out 5 toiletry packs, 4 clothing packages, warm jumpers and jackets, 8 pairs of woollen gloves, 2 tents, blankets and sleeping bags.

We assisted a unhoused client on Friday last week with a suitcase which had clothes, toiletry pack, energy food packs along with a tent and sleeping bag 🎒

While popping into the supermarket on Friday to purchase a tin of formula for a wee one there was a gentleman drawing and unhoused so we asked if they needed anything and they requested a iced coffee milk drink so we also purchased them bananas and some cheese rolls as well for lunch. They were most grateful 🙏

Another was in need of a pushchair for their little one so we purchased one from kmart and delivered it directly to them.

The numbers are only continuing to increase with limited options available to have a secure place to sleep 😴 apparently the Government has it all.under control investing over $50 million into this space?

We received an answer back from Homes Tasmania which we asked if there were any spaces or places they had that we could operate from as well as any opportunity for funding our mobile sleep pod program. Unfortunately it was a NO for either.

As we are non government funded unlike many of the other local organisations. We have to rely on the generosity and we are most grateful for the support we receive from our local communities without you we would not be able to operate to the capacity with helping so many in crisis. Thank you to everyone here in Tasmania and on the Mainland who help with giving 🙏 You all help so many in times of hardship and also saving lives 💜

Good evening everyone ☺️

Tonight we heated up many meals of spaghetti Bolognaise 🍝 with thanks to the Launceston Catering Company. We also cooked up a batch of chocolate chip pancakes, which we served with whipped cream 😋

Food was rescued from and the Bizy Bee 🐝 Thank you for providing many pies, muffins and takeaway food tonight. Many are very appreciative to receive extra food.

As the nights are cold they use up their energy to try and keep warm so this in turn makes them more hungry.

We went around Launceston and Kings Meadows to feed the need amoungst our unhoused community members.

Blankets, sleeping bags and warm jumpers were given out to a few people tonight to help give them some warmth.

Today we assisted many other of our displaced community members who required food and clothing support. One was in need of a mobile phone which we purchased a phone for them. Another referral from the women's shelter for a family requiring food and clothing. Another one is due to have a baby soon and is preparing for their new arrival so we gave them a pram along with clothing and blankets to help.

Another big day had, we are only to happy to help which does not cost those in hardship to receive support. Helping take some stress out of their situations and they are all most grateful 🙏 A big thank you to everyone who gives and helps to make this happen 💜
