For people living in rural and remote areas, like Neville, access is everything.

The help and hope he needed to get back on his feet seemed out of reach, until he was referred to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Now it is a joy to wake up.

With your donation, RFDS Tasmania can reach more Tasmanians with our physical and mental health programs and dental services.

Did you know that research consistently shows men are at higher risk for many serious health conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers?

Additionally, mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and su***de disproportionately affect men, yet many struggle to seek help due to stigma and societal pressures.

This Men's Health Week, 15-21 June, RFDS Tasmania is teaming up with the Men's Shed to shine a light on this disparity and encourage Tasmania's men to prioritise their physical and mental health.

Join us for a sausage sizzle at the Scottsdale Shed to chat all things men's health, visit the sim and get a free health check.

🚭 World No To***co Day 🚭

This World No To***co Day, we’re shining a spotlight on the impact to***co has on our health and the positive change that’s possible with the right support.

Smoking remains one of the leading causes of preventable illness, affecting our hearts, lungs and mental health. But the good news is that support is available, and quitting can make a real difference at any stage.

At RFDS Tasmania, our Ni****ne Management Program is helping people across rural and remote communities take that important step toward better health. We’re proud to work alongside individuals on their quitting journey to offer tailored support, practical tools, and encouragement every step of the way.

If you live in rural or remote Tassie and have been thinking about quitting, there’s no better time to start. You don’t have to do it alone.

Your health matters.

Reach out today and take the first step toward a smoke-free future.

Our education and ni****ne management teams are at it again.

This time in Cressy.

We work together to tailor the Dangers of Va**ng program so it is relevant to the school community, engages students and effectively teaches them the risk of this ever-increasing health issue.

Heath jumped out of his cab at Epping Forest this morning with paper in his hand.

He had kept his blood pressure readings from his last two truckie health-checks to compare to this year.

“On the road from early morning until night leaves very little time for appointments, so you just put it off," he said.

He was delighted when today’s numbers came up similar to last time.

“It pays to check.”

🔥 What a night! 🔥

We cannot thank enough those who joined us on Friday night for Whisky for Wings. Your support means the world to us and the communities we serve.

Together we shared a fitting farewell to our base and celebrated 98 years of the RFDS.

We could not have done it without the Launceston Distillery, Greenbean woodfired catering , Why July?, Tas Toilet Hire and all of our raffle and silent auction donors.

Thank you for sharing the night with us.
