✨ Session 2 of Children's Voices at Lilydale District School concluded last week! ✨

During this session the students put their creativity and artistic flair to the test by working in groups to create collages of assets of their community. The students used art and craft materials and magazine cut-outs to symbolise what helps them have fun and feel safe and connected about where they live ✂️🎨🖼️

Stay tuned for Session 3 when the students work towards what wishes they would like to see for their school community! 🪄

Emily Cfc enjoyed attending this training workshop yesterday, facilitated by Dr Rosie Nash.

Some very important discussion around what health literacy is and a practical framework to use to improve it for all children, families and community members accessing services.

✨ The 2026 Children's Voices Program kicked off last week at Lilydale District School with a blast! ✨

Session one began with meeting the students, discussing what the program was about and supporting the students to work through their consent and participation form. Establishing group expectations for the five sessions followed this and we concluded with some fun ice-breaker activities to get everyone feeling comfortable and confident 📝🎉🎬

We can't wait for Session Two next week where the students will begin mapping and collaging their communities! 🎨🧑‍🎨🖌️
