Shirly and I believe strongly in accountability and transparency in our charities Penguin in Pink and Bula Broads, the motivation behind The Fashion Treadmill in Latrobe, Tasmania . We are delighted to announce another $476.03 AUD has been raised in the last two months. In December we paid $412 AUD for a new cell phone for the Cancer Survivors Fiji helpline, making $888.03 AUD raised to date through donated fashions. We will keep raising money in March then transfer funds to friends in Suva. They will purchase kindergarten supplies based on the Qauia Kindergarten teachers wish list.

The helpline phone is purchased for sister organisation Cancer Survivors Fiji! If you are on a cancer journey, the helpline speaks three languages and the phone number is 2494454.

Where does the The Fashion Treadmill money go? Bula Broads consignment sales of $500 AUD in December were sent to Unaisi for sister organisation Cancer Survivors Fiji . She was able to purchase a new phone for their cancer helpline. The helpline is manned by female cancer survivors in Fiji, talking all three languages, and provide essential support for those on their cancer journeys. Phone Data is kindly provided by Pure Fiji, the fabulous skin care range available internationally. Mammograms are not available to most of the population, so breast cancer is only detected through self examination and in later stages.

From my store in Latrobe Tasmania , we constantly improve our social media posts, highlighting the items for sale in the consignment shop to raise funds for Bula Broads . We recently received a lovely donation of designer shoes, so this is how we marketed it.

Thank you Savitri and Zeba who have taken the lead in the Banking Karma Sewing Club , sewing our unique mastectomy pillows for sister organisation, Cancer Survivors Fiji. The project is also sponsored by Pure Fiji and the pillows provide immense relief for women who have recently undergone breast surgery.
