It was a wonderful morning at Bells Parade today when 83 finishers and 9 volunteers shared in event #197. It was so good to see Sue back volunteering in her usual spot. We have missed you. It was spontaneous excitement when today's RD told the community that they'd see you out at your marshalling spot. Congratulations to Sandy on your first volunteering role. You did very well on what some call the hardest role, that of timekeeping. Thank you to all today's volunteers: Carmen, Sandy, Natalie, Steve, Shane, Ben, Sue, Susan and Val. Without our volunteers, parkrun could not take place.
This morning we hosted visitors from interstate [Foster, NSW; Darebin, Vic and Warrnambool, Vic] and intrastate [Westbury, Railton, Ulverstone, Geeveston, Bellerive, Windsor Precinct and Burnie]. We were so glad that you could come and join us. We know that many of you enjoyed your Bells Parade experience. We would welcome you back any time. One of our returning visitors came especially for our event #197 because it was her parkrun #197 and so she completed Match of the Day, one of the challenges on the parkrun app. Well done.
Tamieka indicated that it was her 100th milestone morning and had her photo taken after her run. There were five other milestones; four 25's and another 100. If you would like your milestone photo, please see us next week and we will take the photos then. Congratulations to you all!
Well done to those fifteen parkrunners who gained a PB today!
Val has now handed a full roster over to Gail who will be next week's RD. Thank you to those who have added their names to the roster for the coming weeks. Other than next week, there still are spots available. Volunteering is fulfilling.
