Bells Parade parkrun

Saturday is not far away for our Bells Parade parkrun so let's give a huge shout out to this weeks volunteers:

Steve P will out and about ensuring the course is ready to go
Sally will be waiting for you at the Access Road
Sue might be doing a spot of fishing from the boat ramp
Angela G will be at the turn to make sure you don't go the extra mile
Caz &John will be bringing up the rear to make sure everyone gets back safely
Angela Mc will be checking you in on your finish with her handy time clock
Gail will have your finish tokens in hand
Susan will be waiting to scan your details, oh and please remember to drop your token in the bucket.
And me, Lou your RD this week. I will be there to welcome you, along with everyone else.

EDIT: And just like that, thanks to our fabulous parkrun community, all roles have now been filled for Saturday September 5th ✨️🫶✨️

I know it's early in the week, but the sooner we fill our volunteer roles, the sooner we can confirm event #210 can go ahead.

Bells Parade parkrun

29th August 2026

This week 64 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 8 were first timers including 5 participants doing their very first parkrun!! We also had visitors from Burnie and Launceston enjoying our course for the first time.

14 superstars recorded new Personal Bests and representatives of 4 different clubs took part.

Two milestones were reached today - Martina completing her 25th parkrun and Thomas his 100th - congratulations to you both.

The event was made possible by 10 volunteers:

Bells Parade parkrun started on 6th August 2022. Since then 2,898 participants have completed 13,007 parkruns covering a total distance of 65,035 km, including 2,257 new Personal Bests. A total of 272 individuals have volunteered 2,162 times.

Bells Parade parkrun

This week 58 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 5 were first timers and 8 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 3 different clubs took part.

Steve Appleby celebrated parkrun #250 today. Being originally from Latrobe, Steve now resides in Hobart but decided to celebrate 250 with us at Bells Parade today - congratulations Steve, we look forward to seeing you next time you visit.

Jonathon Mulcahy reached his 25 milestone today, and Steve Warwick celebrated an unofficial milestone of 350! What an amazing effort. Steve is one of our resident RD's and has also completed 234 volunteers - thank for you all you do at parkrun Steve, we would be lost without you!

A black jacket was left at the start line this morning (see pic in comments), if this was yours it will be waiting for you next week. If you would like it in the meantime, please send a message and we will organise getting it to you.
