What a magnificent day for the 11 first timers today to start their parkrun journey!

And today we were joined by another living legend Peter Kotsoglous. A parkrunner of over 500 parkruns, plus over 25 volunteers. Build the man a statue!

And Winston the Black Dog departs and will road trip to Nuriootpa, Cairns then Mildura parkruns before returning to Largs after spreading awareness and raising funds for depression awareness and su***de prevention.

More than 9 people a day are lost to su***de annually in Australia. 75% male, and over 25% of them aged 45 to 55. You can contribute via the QR code on the table at the start. And Winston and I will be back in 4 weeks.

And now there is a further vollie opening.
In addition to photographer, the opportunity exists for one or two parkwalkers. All you have to be is friendly and chat as you walk. Get a run and a vollie credit at the same time! Hit us up. Cheers. Bronte

Well what do you know?
I know there is only 2 more sleeps to parkrun day. And its event number 401!! And 401 is a prime number. Isn't that exciting!

But importantly, parkrun this week we require 2 more barcode scanners so not to put the whole of the responsibility on Dawn. She is very friendly.

Also a photographer would be nice. Everyone smiles and waves at you, and you just need a phone, which takes as good a photo as actual cameras these days.

"What's on my mind?" The facebook asks.

The answer it parkrun vollie roster. I know it's only Sunday, but the a scant roster makes an RD nervous. And I love it to be filled well before game day.

So budding Timekeeper, barcode scanners, park walkers, first time briefer, token assistant are all up for grabs.

Get in early so you dont miss out, and keep you vollie challenge on the app at 10%!!

What a great morning we had today at Largs Bay parkrun. Our 400th event had 289 participants.
2 people did their first ever parkrun and 27 people did their first Largs Bay parkrun.
40 people achieved new PBs.
Today's event was made possible by 13 volunteers and a few extra helpers on cake duty.
