🎥 A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA THIS SATURDAY!

Our volunteer team has been selected to showcase one of the many wonderful volunteer roles that help make parkrun happen, and this weekend we’ll have a videographer joining us at the start/finish line.

They’ll be capturing some footage of two of our amazing volunteers doing their thing and showing the community what volunteering at parkrun is really like. 🧡

So, if you’re coming through to participate in any way, our two volunteers already know who they are, and for all of you out there,
👉 Just be yourself!
👉 Have fun!
👉 Do exactly what you normally do.

There may also be some people captured in the background. If you’d prefer not to appear in any background footage, please let me know when you arrive. We’ll make sure you’re looked after.

Largs Bay parkrun Event 406

03/10/2026

Largs Bay parkrun event #406 was a cool and windy one today on the 22nd Birthday of parkrun worldwide.
We were joined by 325 participants who were supported by 15 volunteers.
43 people achieved a new PB. Despite the horrendous headwind on the way back!
17 people did their first ever parkrun and 40 people did their first Largs Bay parkrun.
Thank you to Fiona, Lucinda, Nathan, John, Andrew, Andrew, Vicki, Leanne, Roxx, Nic, Heather, Valerie, Charlotte and Ian.
We need some more volunteers for next week so please put your name down if interested.

Hi everyone, this Saturday is parkrun's 22nd Birthday.
Tutus are optional!
We'd love a few more volunteers at Largs Bay parkrun
- a scanner,
- an event day course checker,
- someone to brief first timers,
- a marshall at the turnaround and
- a photographer
