Have you considered trying Scouting for the energetic and adventurous little ones in your life?
Scouts offers the opportunity for your child to learn a wide range of skills in a safe, caring and respectful environment.
They will learn new skills in a supportive group space, surrounded by like-minded youth.
Term 3 saw the 1st Langwarrin Scout Unit (Ages 11-15) undertake a weekend camp out at GWS Anderson Scout camp located just outside of Officer.
This camp was about learning practical bushland survival skills such as camp site review, safety and set out, fire building, camp cooking, bush construction and survival shelters.
They also enjoyed bush walking, social activites and learning about the local environment, plus free time to just be themselves.
Camp tasks are rostered out to include the youth also, helping them learn cooking, kitchen management, set out and hygiene and how to safely prepare and extinguish a camp fire.
We also have very active Joey (5-8) and Cub (8-11) units ready to support your little person's personal growth.
Scouting offers you the ability to bring your child along for the first few night at no cost, no commitment to help them find their feet before committing.
