2025 Annual Report 📚🌱

We’re pleased to share that BETTER Timor’s 2025 Annual Report is now available!

2025 was a year of growth, learning and measurable impact across our work in Timor-Leste. Here are just some of the highlights:

📚 2,220 lessons delivered to 99 students
🍽️ 49,728 nutritious meals served
🙌 93% student and staff attendance
👩‍🏫 Approximately 17 days of teacher training
🌏 More than 150 international visitors welcomed to Same
🗣️ Launch of the Bakhita English Institute, expanding access to quality English education for youth and adults

🌏 Learning Through Connection

We were delighted to welcome students from Dili International School to visit our Bakhita English Institute students for a special English language and cultural exchange.

Our students had the opportunity to practise speaking English through real conversations, build their confidence and learn more about one another. There was plenty of talking, laughter and new friendships along the way!

Learning English is about more than textbooks and grammar—it is about having the confidence to communicate, connect and share ideas with others.

A big thank you to the students and teachers from Dili International School for visiting us and creating such a valuable experience for our students. We hope to welcome you back again soon! 💙
