A huge Congratulations to our Lambton Residents Group Member Bruce McLean for participating and finishing in a gruelling but often scenic bike ride with fellow cyclists to raise money for our Westpac Helicopter..Thank You Bruce from all our members at Lambton Residents Group..here is a message from Bruce's last day...

Our final day on the road , riding for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, raising over $100,000 to go towards keeping the rescue helicopter in service to save many lives free of charge. You just never know when you may need their assistance I have taken considerable pride in participating in this year’s 8 day ride riding from Lightning Ridge back to Tamworth, with 48 other cyclists. We have ridden about 600kms over the 8 days with some days riding up to 129km on day 2 , over some pretty rough unsealed roads and some smoother sealed roads , but riding into the wind on most days was difficult to cope with, but we put our heads down and kept going. Thank goodness for voltaren, deep heat and bum cream. Thankyou to all of those people who supported all of us riders. So much logistics to deal with. Cheers to all of my fellow riders for creating such an atmosphere of friendship. Cheers. Bruce.

LAMBTON POOL COMMUNITY FEEDBACK SESSION

City of Newcastle have been speaking to me about a year round indoor pool project at Lambton Pool.

Council are looking to partner with Royal Life Saving - NSW ACT Tasmania to be a pilot project using a modular design "pattern book" style pool.

The benefits of partnering with RLS NSW will be a lower cost for this pool and a chance for RLS NSW to work with other councils to update their pools at a significantly lower cost.

I'm very keen to hear from the community about their views on this project and so representatives from City of Newcastle and I will be hoping to hear from the community about this project.

There will be a community feedback session at Lambton Pool on:
Friday 17 April
From 1:30pm - 2:30pm

I'd love to hear from you!

If you are unable to make it to this session, you are always free to call my office or to call Council and leave your feedback.
