Multicultural Youth Group returns on Wednesday 12 February
3-5pm.

Our first group for the year will be going to King Edward Park in Newcastle for activities , a BBQ & youth group planning session to work out what activities we will do for term 1

Youth group is on every Wednesday at HMC Waratah from 2:30-5pm for high school aged young people. MiniBus transport pickups are at Jesmond Neighbourhood Centre at 2:30 & Wallsend campus at 3pm. If you need transport please contact us to let us know so we have a seat for you.

Each week the group has free food, music, sport , games , art & craft. It is a great way for young people to meet each other & get support.

Beaches – All Newcastle city beaches & ocean baths at Newcastle & Merewether are patrolled over the summer holidays. Remember to be sun safe ,swim between the flags & check with lifeguards if you need any help at the beach!

A huge thank you to Zach, Kath, Matt, Amelie, Skye, Madhavan & the crew from Nobbys SLSC & Newy Council Lifeguards for hosting the Multicultural Youth Group for an end of term beach safety & skills session last week. 34 young people from countries including Afghanistan, Syria, Türkiye, Rwanda, Congo, Iran & Kurdistan enjoyed flags races, beach volleyball , wading, swimming & catching their first ever waves on the nipper bodyboards!
