Great addition to the team. We’ve worked with Conan for many years and respect his dedication to the environment and us volunteers.
Best wishes in your new role, Conan!

👋 Staff Spotlight - Meet Conan Williams!

Welcome to the newest member of the Litchfield Council team, Conan Williams our Recreation Reserve Liaison Officer.

In this new role, Conan will be the friendly face helping to keep our recreation reserves looking their best. From minor repairs and maintenance to working with community groups and reserve committees, he'll be out and about across the municipality supporting our parks and reserves.

A proud Territorian, Conan's career started as a boilermaker and welder before spending more than 10 years with Bushfires NT in a range of roles, including fire management, training and compliance. His experience working with volunteers, landholders and communities across the Territory makes him a great fit for the role.

When he's not at work, Conan enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, a collection of pets and making the most of the great outdoors - especially if it involves a fishing rod! 🎣

Be sure to say hello if you see him around! 👋

Volunteers are legends!
AGM this weekend for those thinking of giving back to their community and finding a tribe of locals all passionate about where they live 🫶
No fire work needed - we would just love a few hours a month to assist in the back end if you can spare any time 🔥

It’s National Volunteer Week! In 2025, nearly 23% of the population volunteered through an organisation. This was similar to 2020 (25%) but down from 2019 (30%). Australians contributed an estimated 618 million hours of voluntary work in 2025.
