A massive THANK YOU.
The last few weeks have been a pretty brutal reminder of just how quickly things can change out here. Dry season, high winds, and fires that can seemingly come from nowhere.
While most of us are watching the smoke from a safe distance, you’re out there heading straight towards it.
You’re protecting homes, property, livestock, communities and, most importantly, people. You’re working long hours, in the heat, the smoke and some seriously challenging conditions.
And then there are the jobs that don’t make the news. The late-night call-outs. The containment work. The patrols. The clean-up. The constant readiness for the next one.
So this is your reminder that we SEE YOU.
We appreciate you.
And you deserve so much more recognition than you’re often given.
But appreciation needs to be more than a Facebook post.
As a community, let’s do our part.
🔥 Prepare our properties and clear what we can.
🔥 Take fire warnings and restrictions seriously.
🔥 Support our local volunteer brigades and emergency services whenever we can.
🔥 And when you see a firefighter or volunteer out there doing the hard yards, thank them.
These incredible people are putting themselves in harm’s way to protect our communities.
Stay safe out there, legends.
