Plenty of fun and Christmas cheer at the Lakeland Christmas Fair 🥰🥳🎄🧑‍🎄

The rain even stayed away until right at the end! 🙌🏼🙏🏼

Thank you to all the stall holders for coming along! Great to see a variety of stalls and products 🤗

A big thank you to the Lakeland Roadhouse for the generous donation of the delicious Bratwurst and Knackwurst! It was not an easy feat getting them here but they were popular as always!

Thanks you also to the Lakeland Coffee Shop for hosting us again this year.

Also a big thank you go the Cook Shire Council for your gifts for the kids, hosting the kids corner and also providing the entertainment! A wonderful contribution!

Finally - thank you to the community members for supporting this event 🎄🥰🎅🥳❤️

Lakeland Christmas fair happening tomorrow afternoon from 3pm! If you have a stall - being a quick-shade 🤗👍🏼
Markets, food, kids corner, Christmas photo opportunity, local performances topped off with Christmas carols from 6:30pm!

A wonderful family event!

Tablelands Regional Council is hosting Mr Charles Burke, the Queensland Food Farmers' Commissioner,
on Wednesday, 27 November, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Disaster Coordination Centre in Atherton.

Mr Burke brings extensive experience to the role, having served as CEO of AgForce Queensland and the Queensland Transport and Logistics Council, Vice President of the National Farmers’ Federation, and Co-Chair of the State Government’s Drought Program Review. His appointment as Commissioner follows a recommendation by the Supermarket Pricing Select Committee.

As Commissioner, Mr Burke serves as a key contact for issues affecting farmers, offers guidance to enhance farmer-supermarket relationships, and advises the government on supermarket-supplier arrangements.

This event provides a valuable opportunity to engage directly with Mr Burke on these important topics.
