It is a sad day when we hear of Professor Richard Scolyer's passing. As a cancer survivor myself who also had immunotherapy, I partially understand what he went through and why he was so passionate.

This is why I am so passionate when we hear of many of our children having brain cancer and the statistics for our region is up to 102% above the Australian average for Head & Neck cancer.

Liver is up to 100% AAA, Lung 90% AAA, Mesothelioma 83% AAA, Melanoma 55% AAA and Neuroendocrine 51% Above the Australian average.

1.2% followers being 1,074 views simply more credible.

Senator Matt Canavan seems to be the spokesperson for the fossil fuel and resource companies who r**e, pillage and destroy our country for their own financial benefit. They ignore indigenous sacred areas and continually destroy habitats like Lake Macquarie and other areas around Australia. Just watch 4 Corners and you will see just how BHP promises and then contradicts their own plans to lower emissions. What they don't want you to know is how these industries ignore the health impacts that they generate. Chronic respiratory issues and cancers which have reached 102% above the Australian average on our coast.

After attending Dr, Gordon Reid MP's forum on Chronic Kidney Disease at Gosford RSL on Monday 18th of this month, I was pleasantly surprised that a politician was interested on health issues, yet prodominantly in his own electorate and probably because he is a doctor.
I was able to ask him and his specialists guests from the medical fraternity the question of the overall health of the entire Central Coast community when it came to cancers and respiratory issues and would he be interested in running a forum on cancers? His answer was yes and I am currently about to contact Gordon to get the proceeding commenced.
Unfortunately after meeting all our federal and state ministers on this subject, I wonder why they haven't conducted this type of health forums in their own electorates?

I have been putting out warnings to our regional communities about the pollution we are breathing which is impacting on our health for years.
Looking further into the results of the recently conducted Ghost Wipes on homes and the results by the National Measurement Institute, we find lead alone is 28 times greater on the Central Coast than on the Northern Beaches.
The key facts to the Institute's findings was preliminary studies of homes close to Eraring and Vales Point power stations show residents are inhaling a toxic cocktail of known carcinogens and other harmful chemicals. At least six further carcinogenic elements were found at alarming levels.
At least seven Federal and State members of parliament on the coast are totally aware of the toxic halo over our head and Central Coast Council's Environment Committee have all chosen to ignore their own government's data and statistics.
Don't forget we have State elections early next year, so ask your chosen delegate what they are doing about it?

Health of our community should be a priority for all politicians who we elect on the coast. Yet this seems to be the last thing on their minds, as Future Sooner has met with all Labor representatives both federal and state and they choose to ignore their own governments statistics. Yet Ryan Park the Health Minister thinks it is an issues?

Wow, Wow, Wow, I have just been told that the Lower House of the NSW Government over-road most of the 16 recommendations from the 2021 Coal Ash Inquiry by the Legislative Council (Report 4 March 2021).

Not only has the Lower House ignored the recommendations, it also has ignored the inquiry's committee comments (3.66 page 32).

"We are disappointed with the response by the N.S.W. E.P.A. and N.S.W. Health to community concerns about the potential link between the circulation of additional metals in the air and waterways, and impacts on health outcomes for the community. This response, in conjunction with the lack of research conducted to date on this matter, demonstrates a complete disregard by the government towards the health of its citizens".

The Chairperson of this committee was Daniel Mookhey MLC the NSW Treasurer.

I'm hoping that nobody forgets this at the next State election early next year, as I have personally met with all Labor members both Federal and State on the Coast, without receiving one comment or concern what so ever.

I just returned home from my six weekly visit to Wyong Cancer Clinic for my Power Port Flush. The doctors and staff at the clinic are fabulous, especially the nurses, yet each time I visit I'm told that cancers are out of control, especially in the northern suburbs of the coast.
My findings are that Head and Neck cancer is 102% higher than the Australian average and that all the major cancers on the Central Coast average at 41.25% above the Australian average and in Lake Macquarie it has reached 47.6% above the average.
Mesothelioma is an asbestos cancer and that too has reached 83% above the average and yet the Public Health Units deny that we have a problem?
The government is putting all their eggs into one basket with a computerized algorithm Health Risk Assessment instead of conducting an proper epidemiological study into the regions health issues.
Covering up these health issues with an AI generated answer is not what our community needs nor wants.

Future Sooner the community group that has been leading the charge in trying to identify what is causing the outrageous numbers of cancers and respiratory issues on the Coast, the same group which was earmarked as a Local Activist Group by Origin (Eraring power station) has just tonight been awarded the Community Environment Network (CEN) 2025 BAT Award as most outstanding community based organisation in recognition of their contribution to the Central Coast environment.
Not only did Future Sooner take out this prestigious award as a group, one member Simmone took out the Rookie of the year for her approach to this matter.
