Taj officially has all his lines and drains out!!
He is allowed to walk around and be out and about around the hospital. This little man is so beyond amazing with his recovery ❤️‍🩹 so proud of him and how strong he is

~Update~

Taj made his way out of the PICU last night & into the ward. Taj is doing so well. He told his nurse this morning he is in no pain.

Taj has most of his lines out, still has his drain, pacing wires and cannulas in his hand and foot.

He’s still on some high pain meds which is expected due to the surgery.

He is doing so so well, he is an independent king & likes to do things all by himself, which he tries to sit up and get out of the bed himself. Taj is doing so so well & we are all so proud of him & his recovery.

He now just sits back & enjoy his iPad shows while he rests & get some strength back.

Little update

Taj had his preadmission for his heart surgery today! He did so amazing with all his preadmission appointments.
He got some special leads that looked at his heart, he had a chest x-ray, he had a blood test (very sad for mummy to watch & Taj screamed 😢) he then had to sit & listen to some very important people about his upcoming surgery.
The drs checked him over & said he looks good.

Taj & his family will hopefully be heading down next Thursday night for his surgery on Friday.

We ask that you all keep Taj in your thoughts and prayers that he gets his surgery this time. He is patiently waiting & mum and dad are anxious to have this over.

Hi everyone,

We wanted to give you an update on Taj’s heart journey. It’s been a bit of an emotional and unexpected week for us. Taj’s surgery, which was originally scheduled for this past Monday, was postponed, then quickly brought forward to this Friday with everything moving very fast — and has now been postponed again.

We’ve now been given a new surgery date of 24th April.

As you can imagine, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster with all the changes, and we’re doing our best to navigate it all and stay positive for Taj. We’re so grateful for the continued love, support, and messages — they truly mean the world to us during this time.

We’ll continue to keep you all updated as we know more. Thank you for standing by us and for keeping Taj in your thoughts 💙

~ Little update ~

This week we’ve had a bit of bad/sad news 🥺😢

On Monday we found out that Ronald McDonald house was too full & could not accommodate us for Taj’s surgery. This left us looking for accommodation very short notice, with the end result costing us around $3000

Today it got a bit worse, Mum got a call from Dr Brink’s office to state that Taj’s surgery needed to get postponed. The tears flooded down, all the preparation we have done and all the stress this has gigen us for his upcoming surgery and travel down to Sydney this weekend has now been for nothing.

Next came the changing of everything, asking Taj’s school if we could take our 2 weeks leave back and send the boys to school, telling our bosses that we will now need to work and the tough one, trying to get our NON REFUNDABLE accommodation refunded.
& the big one, telling Taj!! This little resilient littlele boy wasnt sad at all, he just wanted to still be able to go to the footy which we had bought tickets for him to enjoy before surgery.

All of this was so so stressful but with the caring hearts of so many people this became possible. Our accommodation got refunded!!! School is letting the boys go back during the 2 weeks they took off and the boss is letting us work even after taking leave.

This was such a shock and so heartbreaking for us but we need to have the mindset that everything happens for a reason and someone else needed our Drs hands. Taj is not at risk, he is not an emergent case and looking at this we are so thankful for that.

We still do not have a new surgery date but once we know we will update you all

Thank you so so much to everyone who came today to support Taj! Even if you didn’t donate a prize or money, Taj & his family are so thankful for your support. Taj & his family definitely know they have a village behind them and they couldn’t be more grateful.

To everyone who donated a price for the raffle, Taj’s family are beyond thankful for your generosity! Without you guys this raffle would have never happened.

The community Taj lives in is honestly the best!!

Today’s total from the raffles was $3860!!! Beyond amazing!!!!

That brings his total funds raised to $10,046!!!

Honestly so so mind blowing for this family!
