Please be advised that the Laidley Community Centre will be closed on Tuesday 16 June 2026 while our team participates in a staff training day.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we invest in ongoing training and development to continue to support our community.

The Centre will reopen as usual on Wednesday 17 June at 8:30am.

🚍 Services Australia and Wellways Carer Gateway are coming to Laidley!

The Australian Government Mobile Service Centre will be visiting Laidley on Thursday 18 June, bringing Centrelink, Medicare, myGov and other government services directly to our community.

They will be joined by Wanda, the Wellways Carer Gateway mobile support service, providing information, support and connections for carers. If you care for someone who is aged and frail, living with a disability, chronic illness or mental illness, Wanda can help you learn more about the free supports available.

💛 This week we also recognise Global Day of Parents, celebrating the important role parents and caregivers play in supporting the emotional, physical, and social wellbeing of children.

🌱 In recognition of World Environment Day, we’ll be starting something special in our ECP gardens with a focus on growing for community connection and giving.

Thursday🍲 Shared Table Community Meal🕔 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm

The Laidley Community Centre recognise the importance of National Reconciliation Week for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our communities.

Our organisation, Our Valley Communities Inc., and the team at Laidley Community Centre value the strong partnership and important connections we share with the team at Kambu Health family wellbeing service Laidley.

We have great respect for the work they are doing in supporting First Nations peoples, which in turn strengthens the wellbeing of the wider community as a whole. We acknowledge the significance of reconciliation and the importance of listening, learning, and walking together with respect, understanding, and care.
