Kyneton Museum is OPEN ON ANZAC DAY and remember entry is FREE until the end of April. 67 Piper Street Kyneton. The museum is in one of the oldest buildings in Kyneton surrounded by gardens and outdoor exhibits. The Museum is located inside the original Bank of New South Wales building c.1856. The banking chamber is now used as a temporary exhibition space (currently housing a wedding dress exhibition) and upstairs is a re-created Managers’ quarters from the gold rush era of 1856-1870. The Museum reflects European development during the height of the gold rush. Outdoor exhibits include original bluestone stables, servant’s kitchen, laundry, and Theaden Cottage. The Museum collection includes a wide variety of carriages, logging and historical agricultural equipment.

Kyneton Museum in Piper Street Kyneton is open Friday to Sunday 11-4pm. The first Lost Trades fair was held here

Explore the two story bluestone Bank building and original stables, horse drawn farm machinery and logging vehicles.

While you are in the region consider getting up close and personal with Kyneton Museum’s horse drawn harvesting and logging equipment and street vehicles. The museum is housed in an original two storey blue stone bank building with stables, kitchen, farm equipment, slab hut etc. at 67 Piper Street Kyneton.
Open Friday to Sunday 11-4pm.
Currently there is a wedding dress display in the foyer. Entry $3 - $7

Did you know there is a new exhibition in the ground floor of the Kyneton Museum? The theme is weddings and beautiful original gowns and accessories are on display. Open Friday, Saturday and Sundays 11am - 4 pm. $5 entry. Piper Street Kyneton.
