Today, The Kogarah Storehouse was delighted to join the Barton Bubs event, proudly hosted by Ash Ambihaipahar MP, bringing together local families, parents, carers, and a range of community organisations dedicated to supporting children and their families.

It was wonderful to connect with so many parents and little ones throughout the day. Our team enjoyed sharing information, playing interactive games, and creating meaningful conversations with families about the services and support available in our community.

We were also excited to introduce our new program, Mums and Little Ones at The Kogarah Storehouse.
This welcoming program provides an opportunity for mums and their young children to connect, learn, play, and build friendships in a supportive environment. Sessions are held on Tuesdays during Weeks 1 and 3.

If you would like to learn more about Mums and Little Ones, please contact The Kogarah Storehouse for further information.

A heartfelt thank you to Ash Ambihaipahar MP for hosting this wonderful event and to all the organisations, parents, carers, and little ones who joined us today.
Together, we are creating stronger connections and a more supportive community for families to thrive. πŸ’™

At The Kogarah Storehouse, on 10th of June, we were pleased to host a Diabetes Prevention Information Session for the Bangladeshi community, focusing on practical ways to support healthier lifestyles and reduce the risk of diabetes.

The session was facilitated by Murad Hossain, with co-facilitation by Qanita Ahmed from NSW South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
Participants gained valuable insights into diabetes risk factors, prevention strategies, healthy eating, and everyday habits that support long-term wellbeing.

This important session was proudly organised by Advance Diversity Services - ADS in collaboration with NSW Health and The Kogarah Storehouse, working together to strengthen community health awareness and access to culturally appropriate information.

Childminding was provided during the session, allowing parents to participate fully and comfortably. The gathering concluded with a shared lunch together, creating a warm space for connection and community conversation.

We thank all participants for their active engagement and commitment to learning and wellbeing.

Yesterday, 10th of June, we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of connection, learning, and self-care at our Soulful Herbal Gathering, proudly presented through a collaboration between The Kogarah Storehouse, Indonesian Australian Women’s Association (IAWA), and Jacaranda Women’s Hub.

Participants explored the benefits of natural healing through a herbal drink tasting, relaxing massage techniques, and a matcha workshop led by Ms. Iis from Adiwinoto Ecoprint, who shared her passion for healthy living and natural wellness.

The session was filled with laughter, friendship, and new experiences, and everyone had a fantastic time.

A big thank you to Ms. Adiwinoto for sharing her knowledge and to all the wonderful participants who joined us.
