Those people who know me know that I respect and love all animals. Life time of rural living and wildlife rehabilitation for over 50 years.
This week for me its incredibly sad. Data being published on the culling in all states of Kangaroos, wallabies birds, and Wombats not to forget koalas.
The start of culling of Our Heritage Brumbies in the high country.. the government want to build a ski resort. 😢 Right now they are being shot from helicopters.
Have a great day. I think you understand how I and many others are feeling about those who order these culls to happen.

A very eventful rescue for local lady directing traffic around a bird in middle of road . Brave lady. Thanked her so much for caring.

It's cloudy have had some rain thankfully. Temperatures much cooler. Preparing for colder months. Last of blankets now ready for the young animals. Luckily some new mattresses for older joeys to camp on in garage.
Sophia is having a laid back Sunday. ❤️ all other kids are eating, so its peaceful till bottle time then off to bed. Maybe. Have a wonderful week.❤️

About the other critters at Wallah. In 2025 2 older ewes and a ram come to live here. The owners did not want to send them to market, the ewes in lamb. They stay together one has had her ewe baby.
One of kids i reared last winter has also had her first baby, also a little girl.
Piggy has moved into his new run. Not quiet finished, he still can meet and greet all his adopted family. Yes the joeys lay down near his yard, with piggy beside them. There have been stranger friendships.
Most visitors love it here. Even handymen greet the critters now. ❤️

Sid is a big boy now. But still loves his cuddles and being held to have his bottle. ❤️
