We have 14 people attempting a grading on Monday , for those grading make sure you bring your JKA passport if it hasn't been handed in already.

Below is an image of a grading card that is used for each student

Scoring on Grading Cards:
Very Good = 5
Good = 4
Pass = 3
Intermediate = 2
Fail = 1

Total Pass Rate: is 3 out of 5 for 10th & 9th Kyu and 8 out of 15 for all other Kyu Grades.

However, if a student receives an intermediate in a division from their previous grading and receive a intermediate in the same division in their next grading then the student fails automatically, regardless of their Total score.

Townsville hopes to join you at a future Karate Queensland State Titles!!!

Over the weekend, we had 5 students enter the 2026 Karate Queensland State Titles! 🥋

It was an excellent event and all our students did extremely well. Everyone’s efforts are to be commended! Thank you to Sensei Michael for coaching and supporting everyone on the day.
