Thank you to our Kingston SE community for your wonderful support of the 2025 Mayoral Christmas Parade & Family Evening. The warmer weather was a summers delight, with just over 40 floats and vehicles proudly taking part. 🎄🎅🏽

Thanks to the incredible generosity of individuals, businesses and community groups who volunteered their time and energy, the event was filled with laughter, joy and magic, bringing our community together to celebrate the place we call home. 🙏🏻

Our sincere gratitude, appreciation and thanks to everyone involved and we look forward to welcoming you back to Kingston for the 2026 Mayoral Christmas Parade & Family Evening. 🫶🏻

The wait is over, today is the day... the Christmas Parade and Family Evening is finally here!!

Here are some details for the evening in case you missed them:
⭐️ 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝟔:𝟎𝟎𝐩𝐦.
⭐️ Family fun in the Lions Park from 7:00pm.
⭐️ Music by "Profile" - Mark Moffatt & Wendy Roeters from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
⭐️ Free unlimited inflatable activities for the kids from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
⭐️ Lobster Trail and glow products available for a small fee.
⭐️ Delicious food available from local clubs and groups - gourmet burgers, hot potatoes, BBQ, fish & coleslaw rolls, donuts, strawberries & cream, drinks and more!
⭐️ Fireworks display at 9:15pm (keep an eye on your beloved pets).

A temporary road closure will be in place for the Kingston Mayoral Christmas Parade on Friday, 12 December 2025. 🚧🎅🏽🎄

The temporary road closure will apply to the following roads between the hours of 5.30pm and 7pm:
✖️Portion of Agnes Street from the intersection of East Terrace to the intersection of Holland Street.
✖️Portion of Holland Street from the intersection of Hanson Street and Cooke Street to the intersection of Agnes Street.
✖️Hanson Street from the intersection of Holland Street and Cooke Street to the eastern boundary of the Lions Park.
✖️Portion of Marine Parade (being one lane only) from the intersection of Hanson Street travelling in the northerly direction to the Lions Park carpark.

All vehicles other than emergency, official pageant vehicles and foot traffic shall be excluded from the designated area during the road closure.

🛑🛑 Please note that the road adjacent to the Lions Park will not be closed after 7pm. Please be mindful when crossing the road 🛑🛑

HO HO HO... Get your free photos with Santa 🎅

Santa has taken some time out of his busy toy making schedule and is visiting Kingston next Friday! Whether you are wanting a group family or friends photo, or visiting Santa with a Christmas letter, Santa will be sitting near the BBQ shelter at the family evening.

Bring along your mobile phone to snap a picture - (families will be required to take their own photos)!

Did someone say 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐔𝐍 🤩🎉

Yippee, that’s right folks, there is plenty of fun for the kids and the young at heart 🤪 Activities including a Mechanical Bull, Maria Combo Castle and Christmas Castle will be operational from 7pm - 9pm!

Our old faithful's the lobster trail and glow products will be back for a small fee!

A few friendly reminders:
⭐️ Don't forget to register your float entry
⭐️ Have your floats at the Apex Park at 5.30pm for 6.00pm start
⭐️ Ensure your lollies are wrapped and please hand them out where possible
⭐️ Add to the festivity and include some music in your float
⭐️ Family fun in the park including entertainment, activities for the kids, lobster trail, food and drinks
⭐️ Fireworks at 9.15pm (please secure your furry friends)

Calling all clubs, groups, businesses and individuals to dial up the Christmas cheer this year and register a float for the Christmas Parade.

All float themes, Christmas based or not, are encouraged and we hope that you will incorporate music to add to the air of festivity too!

Cash 💵 prizes will be awarded for the best floats on the night, as selected by the Mayor and Santa himself! 🎅
