Final meander down memory lane.
2020 and 2021 were victims of the pandemic, but we were back in 2022 2023, 2024 and 2025. Numbers grew steadily. Our 10th birthday recorded 128 finishers and 11 volunteers. Birthday 11 records show that 147 finished and 13 volunteered. On our 12th it was as if the pandemic never happened and 230 crossed the line, assisted by 13 volunteers. Last year was similar at 228 / 14.
Here are some of those happy smiling faces over the last 4 years.

Down Memory Lane. 2018 and 2019. 6th and 7th Birthdays.
We were really starting to see bigger numbers over these 2 years. We partied with 123 finishers and 12 volunteers in 2018 and 141 / 11 in 2019 . Course check was not mandatory back then and we had not yet introduced park walkers.

Down Memory Lane 2016 & 2017.
2016 saw 75 finishers and 7 volunteers. I can still remember that cake! First appearance in the photos of Miss B.
2017- We had 37 finishers and 9 volunteers, weirdly I cannot find any photos , so am wondering if it was very wet??? So here are a few from October.

Down memory lane. October 2012. Kingscliffs first park run & 2013 Our First Birthday. Our launch had 15 participants and 5 volunteers. We were the 12th parkrun in Australia- so it wasn't yet on most peoples radar.
1 year later saw 56 finishers and 7 volunteers.

We will be 14 next week! So lets have a bit of fun.
Can you make cakes- Would you like to bring some to share? Our RD's are multi-talented but baking is not their forte. They will bring supa doopas. ( If not raining)
Dress up?
Here are some ideas.
14 Is the atomic number of silicon, so maybe find something made from silicon and run with it.
Wear a sporting jersey with Number 14 on it.
Walk and push a golf cart with 14 clubs in ( maximum legal number )
14 Carat- Wear gold ( or carrots)
14 years ago we saw movies The Avengers, James Bond ( skyfall) Spider Man, Men in Black 3, Batman , Madagascar.
In Music it was Gangnam style, or music from Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Rhianna, Pink, Flo Rida, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheerin, One Direction.

Maybe there are some ideas there.

Cake/Dress up, yes or no, makes no difference. A 5km run/walk is going to be fun whatever.

Over the next week I will post some photos from our last 14 years , and we can wander down memory lane.

So we survived number 666.
Even though my helper for First Timers Briefing looked slightly under the weather .
