It was fabulous to have South Burnett CTC host our free community meal last night. What a cheerful, enthusiastic team!!
Thank you for providing a delicious meal, catered by Gumnut Place. Everyone enjoyed the meal and lots of relaxed conversations were shared at the tables.

We even had some extra meals again to go in the freezer for Sunday lunches. 12.30-1.30 each Sunday from the Old Railway building at O’Neill Square in Kingaroy.

Thank you CTC Community Engagement team. It was wonderful to have you supporting our community with us last night!

Sincere thanks to the friendly team from Astill’s Electrical Services who hosted the meal last night. And what a delicious meal it was! This team loves to come together in practical ways to serve their community and so host these free meals several times throughout the year as a way of doing this. Thank you, Astill’s!!

Sadly the rain (or the football?!) kept quite a few away, so our numbers of sit down guests was lower than normal. The upside of that was that some meals went in the freezer for Sunday lunches.

Remember, SBSA does provide meals from the Old Railway building at O’Neil Square every Sunday 12.30-1.30pm for those doing it tough and needing hot meal.

Special life events were also celebrated in the room. Congratulations to all those having birthdays and wedding anniversaries. It is important to recognise the good things in life and celebrate them with each other 🥳

Did you see the brand new slideshow playing on the big screens? It is packed with helpful information about various community supports available through both the Salvation Army and the South Burnett Support Alliance and will be updated as needed. Thank you Seath and Sam!

The Rotary Club of Kingaroy generously provided our free community meal last night, cooked by Meals on Wheels. This really is ‘community supporting community’ at its best!

We served over 50 seated guests and nearly 70 takeaways. Thank you Rotary club for your support in making a difference in people’s lives in this practical way.
