Yesterday was an amazing day out for the whole family, with the mullet comps going off with possibly the best mullets I've ever seen. The markets were awesome with a wide variety of stall holders that drew in the crowds. The junior mullet comp had 11 entries that ended being a tie so we declared 2 winners as they couldn't be separated. Then we held the she mullet comp that had 4 entries with two of them being fake mullets but the energy was the same so well done to Irene sprigg for taking that out with her dance moves being a big hit. Up next was the ranga mullet comp pulling in possibly the best looking mullets of the day, the young fella that took out this comp got perfect 10's for his mullet and stage presence, he shook his mullet hard then poured an export can over his head getting a big cheer from the crowed. The second last comp was the vintage mullet that produced the good bringing out the most perfect well groomed mullet I've seen all the may to master mayham him self, this was taken out with the longest mullet of the day that has been growing for nearly 32 years. Last up we had the scruffy mullet that really brought out the best of them all with front flips, the worm, shoeys, and the removal of cloths so it had it all but ultimately it was taken out by a young fella that was late for his preferred comp , his generosity to gift some of his prize money to a fellow competitor was awesome to see so well done mate. In between the comps we ran a thong throwing comp, with the juniors coming out giving it their best with the winner throwing it 17m which was bigger then most adults threw. Then the adults comp saw thongs going everywhere from hitting the crowd to the winning distance of 26m and everywhere in between, to finish the day off we had the pleasure of listening to shotfire who put on a free gig for us so thank you to everyone who came along and hope you all enjoyed the day ☺️
