A fabulous evening last week at our annual Christmas in July Wednesday Night Dining 🎄

Guests enjoyed a delicious three course meal prepared by our KGC kitchen staff 🍽️

PGA Professionals play a wide range of roles across the golf industry. They coach beginners and elite players, manage golf shops, deliver junior programs, fit equipment, administer competitions and help create welcoming and enjoyable experiences for everyone who plays the game.

Killara Golf Club has a proud and enduring association with the PGA. Remarkably, across almost 80 years, the Club has had only three PGA Professionals in David Mercer, Greg Hohnen and Patrick Fairweather—a reflection of the long-term commitment each has made to Killara and its members.

That connection continues throughout the Club today. Alongside Patrick and Greg, Killara also employs PGA members in several important roles: Chief Executive Officer Sam Howe, Assistant Professional Cameron Shearer and PGA Associate Tyler Rogers.

Together, they contribute to the golfing experience of our members and guests through coaching, equipment advice, competition support, golf administration, member service and the ongoing development of the game at Killara.

What a fantastic day for one of the Club’s great traditions. ☀️⛳️

The 87th Stonnington Shield was contested today in perfect winter conditions, with 103 members enjoying a wonderful day of golf, followed by lunch and the presentation.

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the annual Women’s Presidents vs Captains contest. After a closely fought day of competition, honours were shared, with the event finishing all square—just the 8th tie in the 87-year history of the Stonnington Shield.

A wonderful result that reflects the spirit of friendly rivalry, sportsmanship and camaraderie that makes this event such a special fixture on the Killara Golf Club calendar.

Thank you to all players, volunteers and staff who helped make the day such a success.
