We love Gippsland✨ Join us on our adventure! Gippsland Intrepid Landcare

Gippsland Intrepid Landcare is a volunteer group, led by passionate, creative and energetic young people, based in Gippsland Victoria. We are always welcoming new members (and their mates) to our events -->> come along and make a difference. We believe we are lucky to live in such a precious and beautiful region. We aim to connect young people (aged 18 to 35) to the incredible Gippsland environment, through real environmental projects and adventure. We top these off with a social event whether it be a game of beach cricket and a swim in warmer months, a BBQ, or a meal and a game of pool at the local. Our overnight projects often involve camping along the banks of a river, visits to swimming holes, cave tours, bushwalks and more! We love working closely with Gippsland Landcare networks and groups, learning from them and adding to the work they already do. We want to equip our members with knowledge and inspire them with experiences so they can contribute, drive and lead environmental initiatives that are relevant and interesting to them. The Gippsland tribe joins a nationwide network of Intrepid Landcare groups, all of whom aim to provide a common space to connect, inspire and empower young Australians to join local environmental initiatives in their communities and across the world.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to our 5th annual Plant & Dance on the 1st of August✨🌱

A special thankyou to the the property owners Dave and Vikki Teakle, also the Jobling family for catering dinner and breakfast, Grand Ridge Propagation Nursery, Uncle Mark Brown for our Welcome to Country, Ganga Giri, Pet Moon Band, Bass C, West Gippsland Catchment Management Authority, and the lovely Mikayla Imrie for photography over the day.

Lastly, thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, dug a hole, planted a plant, and danced the night away.
We cannot wait to begin planning next year’s Plant & Dance 2027, in our 10th year of Gippsland Intrepid Landcare🌿

Landcare to us means collaboration and connection.🌿🌼
This photograph shows a site that Gippsland Intrepid Landcare and Maffra and Districts Landcare Network worked together on to plant 1000 indigenous grasses, shrubs and trees.
Our combined efforts are on full display 5 years later with a new habitat island forming.🌳🌱

SAVE THE DATE! It’s that time of year again folks! Our annual plant and dance is back again for the fifth time.✨🌱
This year we will be planting 3,400 indigenous plants at a property in Outtrim, South Gippsland. Come join us for a day of tree planting, good vibes, wholesome food and great music.
