A big thank you to everyone who came along to the KCLG Soil Moisture Probe Information Day last Thursday 28th June.

We’d especially like to thank our presenters, Damien Gerrans from GeckCLaN and Adrian Orloff from MAC Systems, for sharing their knowledge and insights into soil moisture monitoring and how this technology can support informed farming decisions.

Thank you also to our generous hosts, Sarah and Stephen Crooke at the Gundowring site, for welcoming everyone and providing the opportunity to see the probe site first hand.

We hope everyone found the day valuable and that the information gathered from the probes will help support better farming decisions across the region. As more data is collected over time, we look forward to building an even stronger understanding of soil moisture trends and their practical applications.

If you’d like to access the free data, visit the KCLG website here:

What a wonderful way to wrap up our Gather & Grow Rural Women's Program for 2026 - music, inspirational speakers, connection, good food and a relaxing vibe.

Thank you to all the women who travelled far and wide to come along to RECONNECT: A Gathering for Rural Women. You made the day special. We hope you all walked away feeling inspired, encouraged, and more connected.

A heartfelt thanks to the team of amazing volunteers and MC Mary Anne Scully.

Kellie did a standout job engaging and looking after 8 little ones while their mum's relaxed.

To the amazing Maidie Dawson, your voice and poetry blows us away every time we hear you sing!

To the speakers Sarah Crooke, Courtney Young, Jade Miles, your openness, honesty, wisdom, and willingness to share your experiences created something truly special. The room was filled with warmth and authenticity. Thankyou for the courage to share so genuinely, and create a space that felt welcoming, empowering, and deeply human.

We are looking forward to seeing what we can create for you all in the next program!

How beautiful are these handcrafted ceramics! ✨

A wonderful group of women got creative at our recent Women’s Ceramics Workshop as part of our Gather and Grow Rural Women’s Program for 2026. It was such a lovely way to connect, create, and take a moment to slow down together.
