PLATYPUS MONITORING IS BACK!

Our Community Platypus Monitoring Program is running again on Saturday 12 September — and this one is extra special as it will be the final monitoring event of our three-year program!

Come along, join the fun and help us collect valuable eDNA samples to better understand and monitor platypus distribution across our local waterways.

~ Learn how to collect eDNA samples - No experience necessary, all training and sampling kits are provided!
~ Explore some of our beautiful local creeks and rivers
~ Help contribute to important platypus monitoring
~ Enjoy a free morning tea
~ Meet other community members and enjoy the outdoors

Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groupss (KCLG) have partnered with the North East CMA and Agriculture Victoria to help you control blackberry on your property. We have funding for control in wetlands and creek areas as well as personalised management action plans available to help you!

Do you have blackberry growing on your property that you’d like help managing? Or perhaps you’re looking for information on best-practice blackberry control and where to start?

Kiewa Catchment Landcare Groups currently has funding available to support landholders with blackberry management.

Whether you’re looking to:
• Engage a contractor to undertake blackberry spraying or mulching on your property; or
• Get some guidance, develop a management plan and learn more about effective blackberry control,

We may be able to help.

Blackberry is a W**d of National Significance, and early planning and management can make a significant difference in controlling its spread.
