Wednesday is coming! ❤️

While we don’t have a holiday program running tomorrow, we’ve still got plenty in the pantry to help get you through the school holiday.

There are snacks, treats and everyday groceries ready to grab, with most pantry items around 60% cheaper than supermarket prices.

And of course, there’ll be a delicious meal ready to share around the table from 11:30am, because The Everyday Table is about more than affordable groceries.

It’s about people.

It’s a place to come as you are, grab what you need, enjoy a meal, have a coffee, meet someone new and be part of community.

And you’ll find some beautiful smiling faces ready to welcome you in.

There’s no eligibility, no referral and no judgement. Just a table with room for everyone.

Everything we do at The Everyday Table is sprinkled with love.

From the food we carefully select to stock our pantry, to the lunches being prepared, the tables being set, and the incredible community partners who generously give of their time and resources to help make it all happen.

This little love heart was found on a box of fresh sourdough given by Slow Dough

It’s certainly not the first time they’ve generously supported The Everyday Table, but it is the first time we’ve found a love heart quite like this one. A little reminder that sometimes the smallest gestures speak louder than words.

We couldn’t be more grateful for the businesses and individuals in our town who give so generously. Whether it’s their time, their resources, their skills or simply their thoughtfulness, each contribution helps us create something that is so much bigger than a pantry or a lunch.

It’s about community. It’s about connection. It’s about looking out for one another and making sure everyone has a place at the table.

To everyone who plays a part in making The Everyday Table what it is, thank you. Your generosity is felt, your kindness is seen, and you are helping us build a longer table, not a higher fence.

And Slow Dough , that little love heart said it all. ❤️

School holidays are nearly here, and we’re ready for them at The Everyday Table.

We’re open tomorrow, Wednesday 23 September, from 10am–1:30pm, so come and stock up on all those holiday snacks before the kids start asking what there is to eat every five minutes 😂

We’ve got plenty of affordable pantry stock, with most products around 60% cheaper than supermarket prices. Grab your snacks, your essentials, a coffee from 𝚆𝚊𝚕𝚌𝚑𝚊 𝙲𝚘𝚏𝚏𝚎𝚎 𝙿𝚝𝚢 𝙻𝚝𝚍 or a cuppa, and have a chat while you’re here.

And then, on the first Wednesday of the holidays, 30 September, we’re getting the LEGO out.

From 10am, our LEGO Build Table will be happening, with sets for the kids to choose from, a spot at the table to get building, and plenty of opportunity to sit around, chat and meet some new people.

Once they’ve started building their set at the table, they get to take it home with them.

Just a couple of things to know. The sets need to be opened and started at the table, and they aren’t available to purchase. The LEGO Build Table is happening on Wednesday 30 September only.

And of course, you can stay for lunch too.

Free lunch is served around the table from 11:30am–1pm.

The Everyday Table is about more than groceries. It’s about having somewhere to go, people to talk to, and a place where you can pull up a chair and feel welcome.

So come and see us tomorrow, or join us for LEGO next Wednesday.

We’re ALWAYS excited when we’re able to bring new products into the Everyday Table Pantry! 🛒

This protein water is just **one of the amazing products we’ve been able to source recently**, bringing even more variety and exceptional value to our pantry.

We’re passionate about finding great products at prices that make a genuine difference; because everyone deserves access to good things without having to pay supermarket prices.

And the best part? **Everyone is welcome.**

There’s honey, beef tallow, beans, chocolate (of course!), protein drinks for adults and kids alike, pickles, tinned pineapple, rice noodles, pasta sauces, and so many more groceries, as well as a variety of fresh produce.

The Everyday Table is about helping lower the cost of putting food on the table, or in the lunch box.

There are no eligibility requirements, and we’re open to anyone!

This is community serving community. It’s caring for one another, sharing what we have, and making time to ensure people feel seen, valued and like they belong.

This is one of the reasons The Everyday Table exists.

An article published this week highlights something we know all too well: food hardship is no longer something that only affects people on the “edges” of society.

Families are feeling the pressure of housing costs, mortgages, utilities and everyday expenses. Some are cutting back on fresh food. Some are skipping meals. And many are doing everything they can to keep a roof over their heads while quietly struggling to put food on the table.

And this is exactly why, when you walk through the doors of The Everyday Table, you will never find eligibility requirements.

We don’t ask what your income is.
We don’t ask what happened.
We don’t ask whether you really need it.

Because we don’t know what the person standing next to us is carrying.

Maybe they need a little help putting food on the table this week.

Maybe they’ve just had a really hard month.

Maybe they’re working, paying a mortgage, raising a family and finding that everything has suddenly become a little harder.

Or maybe the helping hand they need isn’t actually a bag of groceries.

Maybe it’s sitting around a shared table, eating a warm meal, having a conversation and having someone smile at them.

We believe community should work like this.

When you have more than you need, you build a longer table, not a higher fence.

There is no shame in needing a helping hand. And there is no greater privilege than being able to offer one.

The Everyday Table is all about community.

Building community. Supporting community. And creating opportunities for people to come together, share, learn and connect.

Last Wednesday, we welcomed Ridz from Fish n chips | Burgers | Takeaway | Grab n Go , who came along to show us how to make a pretty spectacular chai masala from scratch.

And honestly… she made it look easy! ☕️

But what we love most is the willingness to share.

We’re so grateful to Ridz for sharing her knowledge with our community, for supporting what happens at The Everyday Table, and to her husband Deep for continuing to support us through the lunch around the table — free lunch for everyone in our community.

These moments are what The Everyday Table is about.

Not just food, but people.

Not just a meal, but connection.

Not just giving, but sharing what we have with one another.

Because when you have more than you need, you build a longer table, not a higher fence.
