Last Friday night, the Class of 1996 gathered at Haileybury City to celebrate 30 years since finishing school.

It was a great evening of catching up with old friends, sharing stories from their school days and creating new memories together.

Massive congratulations to our Director of Development and Alumni Relations, Russell Davidson (OH 1986), on being awarded the Trevor Wigney Award, the highest honour at the educate+ Excellence Awards last night!

For decades, Russell has been one of the most respected and trusted figures in educational advancement across Australia and New Zealand inspiring philanthropic support, strengthening alumni and community engagement, and generously mentoring generations of practitioners.

The Trevor Wigney Award honours those who leave an enduring mark on educate+, the advancement profession and the people within it. Russell exemplifies that legacy. It lives on in the hundreds of professionals he has inspired, the leaders whose confidence he has nurtured, and the stronger, kinder advancement community he has helped create.

OHA Medal Nominations are now open… who do you think we should recognise?

The Old Haileyburians Association Medal is awarded annually to an Old Haileyburian in recognition and appreciation of exceptional achievement to the community beyond expectation in their field of endeavour. With over 22,000 members of the Association, to be awarded this medal is a significant achievement.

You are invited to nominate an alumni that you feel meets this exceptional criterion. All nominations will be submitted to the Council for consideration. The winner will be announced in early 2027.

Congratulations to our talented OHA Aerobics athletes on an outstanding Victorian competition season, with the 2026 FISAF National Championships coming up soon!

✨ Verve – Jessie Radford (OH 2014), Olivia Jenkins (OH 2017), Tess Scott, Roisin Selavarjoo and Elise Burt have enjoyed an undefeated season in the Adult National Petite Fitness Team section. We can’t wait to see them take on the national stage!

🥉 Stick It – Molly Back (OH 2015), Tara Traficante (OH 2022), Ash Stafford (OH 2017), Amy McCulloch (OH 2020) and Sarah DeGregorio have placed in the top three at every Victorian competition in the Adult National Petite Fitness Team section. Despite injuries preventing them from competing at the Future Champions Cup, we look forward to seeing the team back on stage at Nationals.

👏 We’re also excited to see Kenji Fujihara (OH 2013) represent OHA Aerobics in the Adult Male International Singles section at Nationals. Following an incredible 2025 season, where he placed second at the FISAF National Championships and third at the FISAF World Championships, Kenji will be aiming to qualify for this year’s World Championships in New Zealand.

A huge congratulations to all our OHA Aerobics athletes on their achievements so far.

🏆 Congratulations to Haftu Strintzos (OH 2018) who dominated the Men’s 10km race to secure his first senior Australian Cross Country title at the Australian Athletics Cross Country Championships in Ballarat.

On a tough and technical course, Haftu showed outstanding strength, determination and composure to take the win. 👏

Students in years 6-8 at Castlefield were treated this morning to a special OHA assembly, highlighting the connections available after school and the diverse career paths that our alumni follow.

It was inspiring to hear from Kayla Johnstone (OH 2025), Archie Roberts (OH 2023), Elise Levalds (OH 2025) and Umbra Moon (OH 2018) as they spoke of their diverse Haileybury journeys and what lies ahead in their respective exciting careers.

🎉 40 Years On Club Luncheon 🎉
What a wonderful afternoon of reconnecting and reminiscing in the Committee Room at the Melbourne Cricket Ground!

Last Friday, we welcomed Old Haileyburians from the Classes of 1977 to 1986 to celebrate 40 or more years since their graduation. It was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with old classmates, share memories and celebrate the friendships and experiences that have endured across four decades.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this inaugural 40 Years On Club Luncheon such a memorable occasion. ❤️💙
