Hi everyone,

Today the Victorian Government announced an extension of the current lockdown and additional restrictions for metropolitan Melbourne until 11.59pm Thursday 2 September.

It’s not the news that any of us wanted, and it’s important that we all play our part in following the restrictions. Reach out for support if you need it – it’s important that we continue to look after ourselves and look out for one another.

The SEMC will remain closed until further notice.

The Grand Master in consultation with the Chair of the Freemasons Future Recovery Team has made this decree.
The health and safety of our membership is of primary concern.

**CLOSURE OF SEMC**

Please note that under direction from Freemasons Victoria, ALL events to be conducted at the SEMC have been CANCELLED effective immediately until 31st May 2020 or other such dates as advised by FMV.

Anyone choosing to ignore this will do so at their own risk as they will not be covered by our insurance policies.

This relates to ALL Craft Lodges and other Orders. There are to be NO meetings (including COGP) at all during this period.

Just in from FMV:

To protect our members, their families and community, all Masonic meetings have been cancelled, effective immediately; this includes the use of Masonic Facilities for any Masonic purposes. It is recommended that all social and other events are cancelled; note that any event will not be covered under our insurance policies. If any Brethren choose to ignore this advice, they do so at their own risk. At present, this cancellation of events will be in effect until 31 May, 2020 inclusive but may be extended if the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak do not improve. Government and medical recommendations will be adopted and if circumstances change, we will be in contact with our members and Lodges.

This morning members of the Mordialloc Lodge of Charity, Keysborough Lodge, and Spring Vale Lodge joined with the board of management to run the annual Pink Breakfast. Thanks to Denis Henry and his team of helpers.

This car has, for a second time, come into the SEMC and broken into cars. From what we know, the rego is ZHU 8?9. Hopefully, the police will be able to catch up with them soon.
